The Lanzarote region

Timanfaya National Park was declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 1993. Lanzarote also has a varied offer of cultural activities, with six visitor centres and over 15 museums and art galleries.
The coast of Lanzarote is dotted with beaches and the sea around the island is generally calm and inviting. The superb year-round weather, hours of sunlight and warm water temperature (average 19.5º C) make Lanzarote the ideal place for sunbathing, water sports and boat rides.
