About the home

The bungalow is in a secluded private location with fantastic panoramic sea views to the golf course, Puerto del Carmen and Fuerteventura. The bungalow is newly appointed and furnished to a high standard with wooden floors throughout the living areas.

There is a large secluded terrace which is not overlooked from any side. The terrace is protected from the wind and has a large pergola with shade for sitting or dining. There are 2 double bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with 2 singles. The en-suite bathrooms have large walk in showers.

The adjoining villa has an 8m by 4m solar heated pool which is available on request. Tias is a Spanish village with fantastic restaurants, shops, supermarkets, bars, a Saturday food market and its own theatre. It is conveniently placed for the airport (10 minutes) and the holiday town of Puerto del Carmen and its beaches (8 minutes).

The Lanzarote region

Lanzarote enjoys year round good weather, great winter sun location and only 4 hours flight from UK and Northern europe. Most famous local attraction is the Timanfaya National Park where you can see the most amazing volcanic lunar landscape. There are countless magnificent white sand beaches as well as the famous black beach at El Golfo.

The island is ideal for water sports such as surfing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, diving, snorkelling, fishing, boating and swimming. The island is famous for its triathlon and ironman international events. It is a cycle paradise. There are fantastic sports facilities all over the island.

The Puerto del Carmen / Tias area

Tias is a Spanish village 8 mins by car from Puerto del Carmen and its fantastic beaches. Shops, restaurants, bars, supermarkets, banks, chemists etc are a short walk from the bungalow. There is a Saturday food market held in Tias for local goods and the town has it's own theatre and municipal sports facilities.

“Perfect holiday hideaway” We stayed in the Garden Bungalow for 3 weeks. The first tthing that strikes you is the view which is uninterrupted to the horizon - fantastic! the second is the total privacy and the third is the peace and quiet. It is well equipped and very comfortable and the owners are helpful and reponded quickly to our requests and comments. Although we found the bungalow easily, we were unsure that we had arrived in the right place, we could only see the main house name, which meant nothing to us. Excellent holiday

“Great location with cracking views” Located within a short walk of the amenities of Tias and a simple drive from the Airport, the bungalow was perfect for my needs. I stayed on the island as part of my training for the 2011 Ironman and the location is all of 1km from the bike course and a short roll down the hill to the swim start which meant I was able to easily access training routes. At the end of a long day, it is fantastic to be able to sit out on the terrace and watch teh sun set.

“A clean and quiet, modern, family-run accommodation with a view away from resorts yet close to all the attractions” 2 of us spent a fabulous week in Lanzarote, staying in this newly furnished, clean and modern bungalow. The bungalow is situated at the end of a dead-end road below the owner's villa on the edge of Tias with a 10 minute walk into the town centre. It is on the edge of town and so very quiet and secluded, with views from the terrace stretching out over fields down to Peurto del Carmen. The owner and his family were very friendly and helpful, taking care that we settled in and addressing all our needs, be they ensuring we had all we wanted in the bungalow, to tips on local eateries, places to visit, and even where to surf (he owns a big surf shop on the island). He is British and so is fluent in English and Spanish. The bungalow itself was roomy and clean, the contemporary style was pleasant and in keeping with local tastes. We weren't able to access the internet or cable TV but I believe these were teething problems, as they had been newly installed. The kitchen was adequately stocked with appliances and equipment, the bathroom well-appointed. There was plenty of storage room for clothes and luggage, and even our own driveway for our rental car. Best of all was the location. As well as being in a great spot for views and privacy, we enjoyed being in Tias, which is less of a tourist town, yet has plenty of restaurants, cafes, bars and shops. We found the more popular tourist areas too Anglicised, and felt we had the best of both worlds by being in Lanzarote-proper yet only a 5 minute drive away from the biggest of the resorts, Puerto del Carmen. Tias itself is also situated fairly centrally in the island, allowing easy access to major routes heading in any direction. If you want a clean and quiet, modern, family-run accommodation away from the tourist resorts yet close to all the attractions, this bungalow is definitely for you.

“Fantastic Holiday” We had a family half term break in February 2011, this was our first visit to Lanzarote. Don't know why we haven't been before, it's a wonderful island. We were given a warm welcome by Alan and his mum. It was dark when we arrived, but what a surprise we had the next morning. The views from the terrace towards the sea were spetacular, quite breathtaking. You will never tire of the view. The garden bungalow exceeded our expectations. It is spacious, extremely comfortable and very well equipped. It is set in a quiet peaceful location, just a short stroll from Tias. Alan will give you the low down on the restaurants, take his advise and visit La Ermita, the tapas is excellent. Te be honest we tried several restaurants in the village and never had a bad meal. The locals are very warm and friendly. We had a fabulous time and I would highly recommend the bungalow
