These delightful bungalows are on a fabulous complex with excellent facilities and are set amongst fabulous subtropical gardens. They are ideally located within a five minute walk of a long, golden beach and a stroll along the seafront promenade takes you into the resort of Puerto del Carmen. The onsite restaurant, swimming pool, children’s pool and play area add to the relaxing, holiday ambience of this accommodation.
The bungalows are very spacious and well equipped. The living area is bright and airy with a large sofabed, additional comfortable seating and a dining table. There is a separate modern kitchen area which has everything needed for a self catering holiday. A door from the kitchen leads to the walled drying area. The one bedroom apartments have one twin bedded room and a child can be accommodated on the sofabed in the living area. Each apartment has a family bathroom with an overhead shower. Three bungalows have been converted for guests with limited mobility and have wheelchair access and showers rather than a bath. For guests’ convenience and comfort each bungalow is equipped with a payphone and a television which has some English channels.
All of the bungalows are semi-detached and patio doors lead from the living area onto an attractive private terrace which has patio furniture, a parasol and sunbeds. The communal areas of the complex are superb. There is a large, acclimatized, communal pool which has Roman steps and is surrounded by a spacious sunbathing terrace. Sunbeds and bamboo parasols are placed around the pool for guests’ use. There is also a children’s pool for the use of younger clients. In addition to the pool area there is mini-golf, children’s playground, pool table and table tennis which are available for guests’ use. Works of art from all over the world can be seen on the complex and the owners are working towards the ‘Q for quality’ accreditation which is given for the undertaking of ecological practices.Wheelchair ramps link the entire development along with a hydraulic pool lift into the pool and there is an outdoor disabled toilet and shower.

The property is cleaned six days per week, towels are changed three times per week and sheets once per week. Several nights a week there is entertainment in the on-site restaurant, including a flamenco and paella night and a barbecue night. Guests also enjoy a complimentary cocktail in the restaurant on arrival. The complex has an on-site supermarket, laundry and internet access points. There is a reception area and for guests who have a late departure there is the option of using a shared lounge and showers. An additional charge is made locally for this service. Safes are available for hire along with pool towels and sun bed cushions. Clients are required to pay a €100 security deposit to the reception upon arrival.
The Lanzarote region

The Puerto del Carmen / Los Mojones area
Marinera Bungalows are situated in the residential Matagorda area of Puerto del Carmen. It is a popular choice for holiday makers wishing to be away from the principal tourist areas, whilst being within easy access to the many attractions that the resort has to offer. Matagorda has a large, wide, golden beach and a selection of bars, restaurants and a supermarket.
A Wellness Spa is located in a nearby hotel and can be booked by guests. It has a hydrothermal water circuit and offers a very wide range of therapies, massages and beauty treatments.
A beautiful sea front promenade joins the area with the main resort of Puerto del Carmen in one direction and the capital of the island, Arrecife in the other. It passes 7 kilometres of glorious beaches, shops, restaurants, and bars, ending just before the picturesque old harbour area of Puerto del Carmen. This is the largest resort on the island with the best selection of night life, including a casino.
A vast variety of sporting activities and entertainment are available in the resort and nearby, including tennis, go-karting, mini-golf, bowling, bike, quad and Sedgeway rental. Most of the beaches in Puerto del Carmen fly the Blue Flag awarded by the EEC for cleanliness and lack of contamination and offer sun beds, parasols and water sports.
In the direction of Arrecife the promenade passes the airport and the stunning Playa Honda beaches. Dotted along the route are several good restaurants and local bars, which overlook the sea and the seemingly endless expanse of beach, which is largely unknown to tourists. Bicycles can be rented for families to enjoy these kilometres of beautiful beachfront.
Rancho Texas, a small exotic theme park is located a few minutes drive from the villa. It is set in expansive gardens and houses a variety of exotic animals including buffalos white tigers, pumas and Nile crocodiles. There are daily shows of sea lions, birds of prey and parrots plus pony and canoe rides. It comes to life in the evenings with fun-filled Wild West nights for all the family, with barbecues, cowboys, lasso shows and line dancing.
The exclusive marina at Puerto Calero is 12 kilometres from Matagorda and boasts a good selection of designer boutiques and international restaurants.
The bungalow is ideally located for exploring the beautiful island of Lanzarote. Matagorda is approximately 20 kilometres to the resort of Costa Teguise. Here the island's water park, the biggest aquarium in the Canary Islands, a beautiful 18-hole golf course and world class wind surfing schools are located.
