About the home

Your own private pool, great sea and mountain views and the quiet yet very convenient and central location all combine to make this spacious 3 bedroom detached villa (with optional air-conditioning) the ideal base for your holiday with family and friends.

The large, light, airy, stylishly furnished Lounge and the separate well equipped modern Kitchen (with Dining Area and separate Utility Room) both have wonderful views. 3 good-sized bedrooms, each with optional air-conditioning, and 2 Bathrooms complete the spacious internal layout.

Patio doors lead out from both the Lounge and the separate Kitchen/Dining area onto the Upper Terrace where the sea and mountain views get even better - a wonderful place to relax with a drink or over a meal prepared, perhaps, on the gas barbecue.

A few external steps lead down to the Lower Terrace where you can relax around the 7.5m x 3.5m swimming pool which is heated during the winter months.

This villa is in a very convenient central location midway between the "Old Town"/Harbour and the Main Beach/Promenade - both are only around a 10 min stroll away.

OPTIONAL AIR-CONDITIONING IN BEDROOMS : The majority of rental properties in Lanzarote do not have air-conditioning since it is not normally required (being an island there is usually a refreshing breeze). For your added comfort and convenience we have, however, installed air-conditioning in all 3 bedrooms. The air-conditioning unit is coin operated and, if used in the correct way (full details are supplied), it will cost only a few euro per night to run. In fact you may well find that, at many times, you do not need to use the air-conditioning at all.

BUILT-IN WARDROBES : In all 3 Bedrooms.

BOOKS, CDs, DVDs : A selection of books, CDs and DVDs are available in the villa for you to enjoy.

TOWELS / BED LINEN : Towels and bed linen are changed weekly and, in addition, there is also a mid-week towel change.

The Upper Terrace has a table and chairs for open-air dining, or a relaxing drink whilst taking in the sea and mountain views. Why not enjoy a meal cooked on the gas barbecue?

The Lower Terrace has six adjustable sun-loungers for relaxation around the swimming pool.

The Lanzarote region

Average daytime temperatures in Lanzarote range from around 18C in January to around 30+C in August. This year-round temperate climate makes it an ideal destination for either your Summer or Winter break. Unlike most holiday destinations Lanzarote has a 52 weeks of the year season with the winter months being just as popular as the summer.
Lanzarote is the fourth largest and the most northerly and easterly of the Canary Islands. It lies about 115km (70 miles) off the coast of Africa and measures around 60km (37 miles) long by 20km (12 miles) wide.
As with all the Canary Islands, Lanzarote is volcanic in origin. It has however a beautiful and unique landscape of volcanoes and craters which has often been described as lunar or martian.
Another major attraction of Lanzarote is the fact that tourist development has been very carefully controlled. You will not find the high-rise concrete jungles which are unfortunately so typical of some other popular holiday destinations. Instead you will find tourist development which has taken place in harmony and sympathy with the environment and, in recognition of this, Lanzarote has been declared a "Reserve Of The Biosphere" by UNESCO.
We really do love Lanzarote for its relaxed and friendly atmosphere and its protection of the environment and will be only too happy to provide you with any further information you may require.

The Puerto del Carmen area

Puerto del Carmen is the largest and longest established resort on Lanzarote and consists of 2 very different areas. Firstly there is the atmospheric "Old Town"/Harbour with its narrow, winding streets and wide selection of excellent restaurants and bars. Then, in contrast, you have the seafront with its miles long promenade and beach, and all the trappings of a modern-day resort - restaurants, bars, shops, night-clubs, casino etc.
As with most modern holiday resorts, Puerto del Carmen has developed and extended over the years and now extends to well over 5km from the original "Old Town/Harbour and Main Beach. Our villa is, however in a prime central location mid-way between the "Old Town" and Beach - it is only around a 10 min stroll from each.
There is plenty to keep you occupied within Puerto del Carmen and it is also an ideal base from which to explore the rest of this beautiful and unique Island. Full details of the main tourist attractions can be found in the comprehensive Information Guide which is available for you in the villa.

FLYING TO LANZAROTE : You fly into Arrecife Airport

FROM ARRECIFE AIRPORT TO THE VILLA : Taxis are readily available at the Airport - the journey will take around 10/15 mins and will cost about 12 euro. Alternatively you can hire a car at the Airport or pick one up there if you have pre-booked it over the internet. You will be supplied with simple, detailed, route directions.
