This superb country villa, with a spectacular, heated swimming pool is in an idyllic, tranquil location. Although it is just minutes from the resort of Puerto del Carmen it is in a peaceful, country setting and enjoys stunning, panoramic views to the sea and neighbouring islands.
Interior
This beautiful, spacious villa is furnished to a high standard and is in a perfect setting for a family holiday. It has a large, double living room with a fire place and patio doors at each end. An archway leads to a comfortably furnished, separate dining room and there is a well equipped, independent kitchen. The villa has five, spacious bedrooms with built-in wardrobes. The pretty master bedroom has a large double bed, patio doors to a large terrace and a full en-suite bathroom. Another bedroom with a double bed also has an en-suite bathroom. There are there three further bedrooms with twin beds which share a shower room and a family bathroom.
Exterior
The exterior of this villa is fabulous, with extensive terraces set around the villa and colourful, luxuriant gardens which are floodlit at night. Central to these is the, unique, huge, 9x5 metre, electrically heated swimming pool. It is accessed by a gently sloping ramp which measures 7x3 metres, making this an unusually large pool. A feature of this pool is that it uses a natural salt chlorinating system which greatly reduces the level of chemicals used. This is beneficial to people sensitive to chemicals and reduces eye and skin irritations. An extra, special feature is a table and four stools within the pool, perfect for a cool drink on a hot afternoon! The terraces outside the living room are both covered and very sheltered. One is a large dining terrace with an integral barbeque, a lovely place for long hours of al fresco dining. This particular terrace is gated so that if other doors are kept locked small children cannot access the pool.

The Lanzarote region

The Puerto del Carmen / Macher area
The villa is situated in the tranquil village of Lower Macher and is only a 5 minute drive or 25 minute walk from the old harbour area of Puerto del Carmen. There is a small selection of restaurants and a supermarket within a short driving distance of the villa. The volcanic National Park of Timanfya and the wine growing region of La Geria are only a 10 minute drive from Macher. The exclusive marina of Puerto Calero, which offers a very good selection of restaurants, is also only a 10 minute drive away. Boat trips and excursions run regularly from both Puerto Calero and the old harbour in Puerto del Carmen.

Our extended family stayed in this superb Villa over Christmas 2011. It was perfect for a family with young children as the pool area is gated and safe. The views are amazing and the accommodation spotless and very well equipped. The rooms were spacious and with such a large group we didn't feel on top of each other. I would highly recommend this location which is private and yet within a short drive from everything. The owner was so nice and helpful and made our stay very memorable with lovely Christmas decorations and a welcome gift on arrival (thank you Patrick!) |
