About the home

The apartment has it's own terrace or balcony area with outside seating overlooking the beautiful pool area. Inside you will find a fully fitted kitchen equipped with everything you will need to ensure a truly 'home-from-home' experience. The kitchens feature full ovens along with microwaves, full sized fridge-freezers and washing machines.

In the living rooms you will find remote control operated, wall-mounted air-conditioning unit (a must have with our sub-tropical climate). There are large wall-mounted flat panel TVs. with English language channels featuring films, music and general and children's entertainment.

Mum and I really enjoyed the holiday in Puerto del Carmen, I never really enjoyed sun holidays before, but there was so much to do, live music in the bars, super food, and the apartment lacked nothing.

Discover Lanzarote - The Fire Island

If you are bored with lazing around sunbathing etc, there are plenty of activities to get you out and about.

Set at the northern tip of the Canaries, the volcanic island of Lanzarote is a truly unique place. The national park 'Timanfaya' is one of the worlds most important locations for volcanic studies and the breathtaking landscape here has been the setting for numerous films and television works. The terrain was even used extensively by NASA in their testing of lunar vehicles.

Once the capital of the island, Teguise is now a beautiful and peaceful little village up in the north. Every Sunday however Teguise is transformed into a bustling market with stalls and traders lining the meandering cobbled streets throughout the entire town.

The southern point of the island is where you will find the stunning beaches of Papagayo. There is relatively easy access to the beaches here but their remote location means they are kept deliberately quiet and tranquil with few services available. Of course there are hundreds of other beautiful beaches all around the island for families keen to have ice-cream sellers close to hand!

The Puerto del Carmen / Central Puerto del Carmen area

La Geria is the Lanzarote wine region. The landscape here is an incredible sight with thousands upon thousands of semi-circular hand built dry stone walls, each surrounding a hollowed out piece of ground with a single vine contained within. Despite the dry climate here the hollows are able to trap enough moisture to feed the vines. A drive through the region, either in a hire car or on an organised excursion is highly recommended as all of the bodegas offer wine tasting.

“Holiday gem in Central Puerto del Carmen” My husband & I spent a few relaxing weeks at Las Palmeras II and were very impressed by the comfort and facilities there. The owners, Florence & Alan were very helpful and friendly. Our apartment had a full kitchen, comfortable beds, BBC/ITV and other satelite channels, WiFi, a safe, towels and hairdryer all included in the rental price which is exceptional. While the apartment was only a few minutes from the prom/beach and about 10/15 minutes from the Old Town of Puerto del Carmen, it is located in a very quiet street. This, plus the fact that there are only 19 apartments in the complex make it a very relaxing location day & night. I would advise those travelling there from the airport by taxi to ensure that they specify Las Palmeras II (2), Calle Princesa Guayadeque as there is also another block of apartments called Las Palmeras just two streets away and it will save the bother of taking suitcases to the correct apartments. There is a small supermarket around the corner in Calle Alcorce which supplies your basic everyday needs( Spar supermarket on Calle Doramas 5min walk and more further afield). Puerto del Carmen has lots of restaurants catering for all tastes and there are ample shops to tempt. A trip to the Teguise Market which is held every Sunday morning or some of the other markets held around the island will introduce you to lots of local crafts and foods. For those who like walking I would recommend the walk from the Old Town, Puerto del Carmen to Puerto Callero. It takes about an hour and I would recommend walking shoes and some water to drink. The views are wonderful and on arrival in Puerto Calero there are lots of shops and good restaurants surrounding the marina. If your feet have had enough, it's possible to take a water taxi back to Puerto del Carmen at a cost of €6. We had a real chillout break and will be returning again when we get a chance. Thanks again to Florence & Alan for making us welcome. It was like home from home.

“Lovely Apartment” Everything in the apartment was lovely and as described. Had a lovely week over the new year and will certainly look to go back again. Florence and Alan met us at the apartment and gave us a brief tour of where to go, very handy! The apartments are ideally situated between the old and the new town, nicely set away from the main strip. Apartment looked out over the pool area, very nice to see that every morning.

“"Cant wait to return next year!"” My husband and I had a fantastic stay in this lovely apartment. The apartment is tastefully decorated to a very high standard with all mod cons! It was spotless on arrival and the rest of the complex is maintained to an equally high standard. The lovely Florence and Alan met us upon arrival and brought us on a short tour of the area. They suggested some wonderful restaurants and lots of things to see and do. They were extremely helpful and made us feel completely at home. The apartment has a lovely terrace area and a delightful view of the swimming pool. The pool area is quiet and private. The apartment is perfectly situated half way between the Old and New town. The beach, restaurants and supermarkets are only a short stroll away. We had a fantastic holiday here and look forward to returning next year.

“Very clean, comfortable and modern apartment” This was the first time at this amazing little unit and certainly will not be our last. Florence and Alan the owners, go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need, and make you feel very welcome and at home. What more could you ask for. The unit is in a very quiet area but convenient to all shops, restuarants and entertainment. Being quiet in the evening was great and you were assured of a great nights sleep.
