Home description
Edificio Cumbremar is a small development, approx 4 years old, set in a quiet location but just 5 mins walk from the centre of Puerto de Mazarron with its many bars and restaurants. The complex has a lovely shared pool with children's paddling area, and gardens, with plenty of car parking space.
The terrace/balcony gives fantastic views over the town and the Bay of Mazarron, is furnished with table and chairs, and is perfect for al fresco dining. With 1 double and 1 triple bedroom the apartment is ideal for families and is also disability friendly with ramps, and a lift to all floors.
The apartment and complex is toddler friendly and cot hire can be arranged. (payable locally)
The area still has a very Spanish feel, unlike some larger resorts and is in easy reach of several golf courses, including the La Manga club. Cartagena is nearby for history lovers, and local markets abound in Puerto and most surrounding towns. The local beaches (7!) are all superb and mostly blue flag.

The Costa Calida/Murcia region
Murcia is the driest region of Spain with almost no rainfall in the summer months. The Costa Calida area has its own micro climate produced by the Sierra Espuna mountain range giving a warm, non-humid atmosphere and air quality unsurpassed in Spain (and most of Europe).
Winters here are short and mild, and the Spring and Autumn remind you of a great English Summer. The landscape is a mixture of high dramatic mountains and broad fertile plains dotted with orange groves, almond plantations and tomato farms.
In easy reach are the historical cities of Cartagena and Murcia, several golf courses. A water park and the Sierra Espuna National Park. The gaudier attractions of Benidorm are within driving distance.
Puerto De Mazarron / Cuatro Plumas area
Good shopping in Murcia city and Cartagena. Local, good value markets in Puerto and most surrounding towns. All towns, large or small, have regular Fiestas, mainly in Spring or Autumn.
Good quality Spanish and English bars and restaurants abound, especially for seafood lovers. Chinese food is excellent and very cheap.
Watersports, fishing and tennis all available locally. Bike and mountain bike hire available locally.
How to get there
Puerto de Mazarron is in easy reach of 3 airports, Murcia (San Javier) 40 mins, Alicante (El Altet) 60mins and Almeria 70 mins. All 3 are served by the usual budget airlines, BMI baby, Easyjet, Ryanair, Jet2 and Flybe depending on your departure airport.
Car hire in Spain is cheaper than the UK. We recommend the website Rentspain.com as the best bet having always had excellent service from them. We can also offer airport transfers at competitive prices.
The road system from all 3 airports is quick and relatively uncrowded. It is possible to drive down from Santander in a day if you are a "press on" driver.
The ferry from Plymouth to Santander is the "Pont Aven" and it is superb! We can also arrange airport transfers.

Bathroom has full size bath with shower over. Both bedrooms have large built in wardrobes and bedroom 1 has a secure safety deposit box.
Bedroom 1 has double bed and bedroom 2 has 1 single and 1 bunk bed. An inflatable mattress is also available.
