Home description
The house is situated in the north of Tenerife in a peaceful well kept village called El Sauzal. The views are breathtaking. The Atlantic ocean, Puerto de la Cruz and very often La Palma can also be seen.
The house is completely self contained-everything you could possible need and more. Casa Helen has 2 beautiful spacious double bedrooms, with large beds of 160cm/ 200cm, double wardrobes.One has a TV with satelite. The front bedroom has wonderful sea views and looks over the large swimming pool. The second bedroom also has fantastic sea views and its own patio area where you can sit and relax,perfect for reading or enjoying a glass of Spanish wine!.
The kitchen is fully equipped.There is a rectangular style private pool 4mts/6metres, a large terrace area and patio furniture. There is also a BBQ where you can sit out in the evening and enjoy your meal looking over the sea.
And for those who enjoy sports, there is a pool table, darts board,multi-gym and exercise bike.

The Tenerife region
The climate in Tenerife is wonderful and we are lucky to have a mild warm climate almost all year round. Whether you want to go sightseeing, play golf, go to the beach or just relax by the pool, here you have it all.
Sauzal is a wonderful location, it is a 10 minute drive to Puerto de la Cruz, where you have many different things to choose from, shops,night-life, El Loro Parque(The Parrot Park).
And 20 minutes from the capital, Santa Cruz. There you have a wonderful beach, shops, many bars and restaurants etc.
Puerto de la Cruz / El Sauzal area
The fiestas of El Sauzal are in June/ July, you can enjoy 2 weeks of live music, concerts, dances, shows, competitions and typical food and wine.
There is a concert hall.Small museums.Great restaurants and bars. A gymnasium, which has tennis, paddle, football, aerobics etc.
La Casa del Vino-wine museum and restaurant with a large veranda where you can have a glass of wine while enjoying the marvellous views.
How to get there
We have a car for hire at special rates for guests staying at Casa Helen.
Most good airlines,inc.Easyjet fly to Tenerife.
The north airport, Los Rodeos is 12km away,10-15 minutes drive.South airport, Reina Sofia.
There is a regular bus service and taxis. The ferry from Santa Cruz is 20km away. A pick up service can also be arranged.

Further details indoors: Casa Helen is the ideal place for 1-4 people to just relax and enjoy the beautiful views,maybe a BBQ in the evening sat around the lit pool over looking the sea. You can also help yourself to the tropical bananas,mangos,lemons or oranges that grow throughout the year here.

The house is within 50mtrs of a typical restaurant, Los Angeles and 5 minutes walk to 2 others. The shops are 500 metres away.
It is a 10 minute drive to Puerto de la Cruz and 20 minutes to Santa Cruz, where there is a wonderful golden sand beach, Las Teresitas.
It is a wonderful place to relax and there are many places to visit. Sauzal has an auditorium where they often have concerts and shows. Also La Casa del Vino(the wine museum and restaurant)is well worth a visit if you enjoy wine.

For anyone who rents Casa Helen,there is a hire car at special rates-please ask for details. There is a booking deposit of 25% which will be deducted from the due balance. Payment of the balance must be paid 6 weeks prior to occupancy.
