The villa "also called the Oasis House" is the best of the best in the northern marvelous little village called El Sauzal. Everything has been designed to enjoy you most beautiful holiday. For big and small. Private heated swimming pool for the pleasure and relaxation in our most beautiful sub-tropical garden, designed to enjoy the sun or relax in the shade under our wonderful palm trees, also to enjoy the most amazing views we have of the coastline, the sea and the mountain Teide, Puerto de la Cruz from the distance and even the sunset of the island La Palma.
BBQ and covered terrace to enjoy delicious grills or start the day with a wonderful breakfast outside in our garden, enjoy the tranquility, peace and nature which surrounds you. Your eyes will laugh and your heart will sing from what you will experience being in our oasis house and sub-tropical garden.
A totally equipped kitchen to prepare succulent meals, with a direct access to the terrace and enjoying the views while cocking. We have microwave, steam-oven, normal oven, dishwasher and mixer to smooth baby food. Our living room which leads right into the garden, also equipped with a big flat TV-screen, dining area designed to enjoy the full panorama views, laundry place, extra covered BBQ or dining-area .
You can even leave our property, through our garden gate which is adjacent on natural protected area and enjoy a beautiful walk down to the sea, take in the cost line ,go for a small swim and walk back up into the oasis. On the first floor: principal room, en suit, with dressing room and there own bath room (two wash-hand-basin, bathtub and open unique designed shower, where you will enjoy the best shower in your life, designed to enjoy the views, smell the nature while being outside where the hot water runs over your head and makes you relax.
2nd and 3rd also two large rooms, with beautiful views and each with bathroom to share. One room is fully equipped for families who bring there baby and want to enjoy the comfort of having everything there. Baby cribs, changing table, high chair, playpen, toys, sandbox.
Separate from the house, but still attached, you can enjoy your own space, in a large garden-room, which has there own bathroom, shower and two wash-hand-basin. View right into the garden and coastline, on house level, perfect for elderly people, and disabled friendly -total tranquility- lots of light-views-paradise-the oasis.

Our house is adjacent on a natural protected area on the coast, which you can enter through our garden gate and allows you to take marvelous walks and swim in the sea. It will take you only 20 minutes to walk down through a wonderful protected area. Please be aware, that the ocean can be dangerous.

The Tenerife region
Tenerife is one of 7 main Islands. Also called the eternal spring, as we have all year around very mild climate.
Great island to go walking and hiking. All climate zones are available on this island, the further you drive up to the Mount Teide, the more you see the changing vegetation. Quiet special to see.
Going up to Mount Teide is also a must, when on the island, as sometimes you can see all the island, when the views are clear.
The guest information offices give very good information about the island, also in what to do, what kind of trips to do. A very children friendly island.
The Puerto de la Cruz / El Sauzal area
Our village "El Sauzal" is a romantic little town, with a very nice old church in the middle of it and some nice cafes to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The village is known in Tenerife, for its nice landscaping. A town you must discovered.

That's what the lady said and so say all of us..... Oasis house is bright, airy ,spacious and tastefully furnished with beautiful views from all main rooms; the sub tropical garden has been carefully designed and is maintained to a high standard. Get up early, and stay up late and the views from the garden won't disappoint. Always warm and rarely uncomfortably hot ,this part of Tenerife is not totally cloudless, so you will see the sun travel along the coast, above AND below the clouds ; Mount Tiede comes and goes to suit herself. Towards nightfall, swallows dive and buzzards hover and with luck you'll get a few lurid red sunsets in the west. Meanwhile, in the distance to the north Puerto de la Cruz lightsup and may choose to entertain you with a seemingly impromptu firework display (or several). It rained just one night of the 14 and I got out of bed to stand in it. 180 metres below there's an attractive coastal path –take your time and you'll get there and take a little more time to get back. Much to see and do in the area. Good restaurants in abundance. A little bit of Spanish goes a long way and may earn you a liqueur with la cuenta.(not guaranteed) Anabell, the owner, had provided all amenities for all ages -we were children, parents and grandparents,eight in all- and she was more than generous with her help and advice, being readily accessible by email Grateful thanks and best wishes to her and her family, for letting us use their former home for our unforgettably happy holiday. 31/07/11-14/08/2011 Fred McClean and Family |
