CASA MARISSA, PUERTO BANUS, MARBELLA.
This luxurious Andalucian-style villa with private heated swimming pool is available for year-round holiday rental. There are four double bedrooms, two bathrooms, one en suite, and guest cloakroom. The living room and all bedrooms have independent air-con and heating.
The living room is large and very comfortable, and includes an impressive (and in tune) Bechstein grand piano. The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer and a full range of kitchen machines and equipment. There is a separate dining room which can be opened up for pool-side dining, and several outdoor dining and sunbathing areas.
Upstairs there is a study with its own large terrace for working or sunbathing, complete with computer, printer, and a Reebok electronic exercise bike. The villa is equipped with TV with children's channels, Astra TV, with hundreds of channels in German, French, Italian, Arabic, Dutch etc, DVD, telephone line for incoming calls and free outgoing local and national Spanish calls to land lines.
There is also ADSL broadband with WIFI and desktop computer, printer and scanner for your use. We have hundreds of English language books, including children's books, games, CDs, etc. which you are welcome to use. There is an alarm system connected to a security service.
Twice-weekly 2 hour maid service and a weekly change of linen is included in the price, and a full-time English-speaking maid/ cook and baby-sitting can be arranged for an extra charge. A cot and high chair can be provided free of charge if requested. Our gardener visits regularly, and the heated swimming pool is maintained to a high standard

Casa Marissa is in a very quiet location, yet within 5 minutes' walking distance of the famous yacht harbour of Puerto Banus, with its restaurants, night clubs, bars and boutiques. Malaga and Gibraltar airports are both 45 minutes' drive away. The area is surrounded by international golf courses, and there are lots of attractions for children, such as Selwo safari park, Tivoli World amusement park, and the Mijas Aquapark.
This is a real home-from-home, and everyone who walks into the house falls in love with it. We've noticed that some properties are advertised as being Puerto Banus, when in fact they're sometimes 20 minutes' drive from the port, which is misleading to say the least. Casa Marissa is in Calle de Juan Belmonte, Marbella, so if you'd like to check Google Maps, you'll see how close to the port we are.

There are sunbathing areas by the pool, and also upstairs on a private terrace accessed from the study.
There are 3 outside dining areas and the inside dining room can be opened up completely for shady poolside dining. The barbecue is on wheels, and can be moved anywhere in the garden.

We spend some time every year living in our Spanish properties, so they are real homes, fully equipped in every way, and not just rental units.
Conditions
We ask for a 30% deposit to secure your booking, and the balance 6 weeks before the start of your holiday. Payments are into Coutts bank in London, and are absolutely secure. Normal check-in time is 2pm and check-out time 10am, but we'll try to be flexible wherever possible.

The Costa Del Sol is the most popular holiday destination in the world for British and other European holidaymakers. Marbella, in particular, has a micro-climate which gives warmer days and more sunshine than the rest of the coast. Puerto Banus, which is five minutes's stroll from Casa Marissa, is an international yacht harbour containing some of the largest and most impressive yachts in Europe. Our immediate area has a huge choice of restaurants and entertainment, many within walking distance. A short drive inland, you will find wonderful scenery, and the famous Andalucian "White Villages". Tarifa, Europe's top windsurfing location, is only one hour's drive, and just beyond there you will find Bolonia, the site of a well-preserved Roman city. From Tarifa you can also take the fast ferry (30 minutes) to Tangier, if you would like to spend a day in Africa. Visas are not required for Brits.
The Puerto Banus area
Marbella is a city dating from Roman times, with the remains of villas from that time at Rio Verde and Guadalmina. The town has a strong Moorish influence, with some of the original city walls and castle buildings still standing. The Old Town centre is Orange Square, a beautiful plaza filled with orange trees, bars, boutiques and restaurants, which is a favourite meeting place. The small streets of the Old Town are very picturesque, and a shopper's paradise. The Golden Mile stretches from Marbella town to Puerto Banus, where Casa Marissa is situated. It contains the Marbella Club, the Puente Romano hotel, the Summer Palace of the King of Saudi Arabia and many other impressive sights. La Cañada, a huge indoor shopping mall with a cinema complex, and bowling alley, is only 5 minutes' drive away, or the Puerto Banus cinema, also with English language movies, is a 4 minutes' walk. Puerto Banus itself is 6 minutes' walk according to Google maps, and 5 minutes according to us (maybe we're fast walkers). At the top of our road, one minute's walk away, you will find La Sala, one of the most exclusive (but reasonably priced) bar/restaurants on the Golden Mile, and every Saturday morning, ,the famous Puerto Banus flea market. There is a promenade stretching almost the whole length of the Golden Mile. Selwo Safari Park is 15 minutes' drive, Mijas Aquapark is around 30 minutes away, and Tivoli World about the same. Our area is surrounded by golf courses, too many to list. Tennis, horse riding and water sports are also available.

We had a lovely holiday the villa was beautiful. We travelled with my parents and young children and had a relaxing holiday. The location was good and walking distance to Puerta banus. |

This is a fantastic house to rent, especially with teenagers who want the nightlife and parents who want peace and freedom from needing to provide a taxi service. Everything, but everything, is included and the owners, Tom and Marissa could not be more communicative, helpful and generous. No deposit required - they just trust you to take care of their lovely home, and it does feel like a home. No extra charges for air conditioning in all rooms, or the beautifully heated pool. With some other owners who charge a supplement per day for these things it could have added another €1,000 or more to the final cost. We were also arriving the day before our rental started and planned to stay in an airport hotel but since e villa happened to be free, they offered us to move in that night with now extra charge. This level of generosity is rare in these often mercenary times and really makes you want to do your best for them too. We cannot recommend this holiday rental highly enough on all possible measures! |

Our family of 2 teenagers and an 8 year old have just spent a fantastic week in casa marrissa & we can highly recommend it! We have stayed in villas before but usually find to get a nice villa you need to compromise location, this is not the case here- you can actually have it all. We didn't hire a car(unusual for us) because we had everything within 5 mins walk. Shops, restaurants, beach, port. Puerto Banus is a really lovely place, we have stayed nearby before so we were familiar with the area. The villa is lived-in, with a slightly eclectic taste- but clean and nice with everything you need, we didn't miss a thing on tv as there is full sky & a great big tv to watch it on. All rooms are air-conditioned too. The photos don't really do the' feel' of the house justice, bi-folding doors to the garden areas bring the outside in and really bring the family together When using the swimming pool. The pool is great, heated and just the right size for all. The family who own the villa are very efficient when booking and always reply quickly to any emails etc. The whole experience has been very pleasant and we can't wait to book again for our next stay! ......actually we're hoping they want to sell up so we can buy the place we like it so much :-) |

The rental price includes everything; air-con and central heating, Sky Plus HD with a 50" Tv, Astra satellite with hundreds of international channels, WIFI internet, free Spanish land line phone calls, electronic exercise bike, and of course the heated pool. All towels including beach towels and a hairdryer are also provided. There are no hidden extras; a cot and high chair can also be provided free of charge by request. We ask for a deposit of 30% at the time of booking, and the balance 6 weeks before the start of your holiday. Normal check-in time is 2pm, and check-out 10am, but we'll try to be flexible if at all possible. We don't ask for a damage deposit; we've always trusted our clients, and no-one has ever let us down.
