The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
Malaga and the Costa Del Sol are only a 2 hour flight from UK and has hundreds of low cost flights a week arriving,Easyjet,Monarch,Ryan Air BMI Baby,BA Air Lingus and Ryan Air etc fly over 50 flights every day from most airports in the UK and Dublin.check www.skyscanners.net. for best prices
The Costa Del Sol/Andalucia runs from Malaga down to the southern most tip of Europe and the historic "rock".It enjoys over 300 days of sun a year and has 60 beaches, stunning mountains, glitzy Puerto Banus, expensive Marbella and traditional mountain villages.
Sheltered and protected by the peaks of the Sierra Blanca mountain range, the winter weather and climate in Marbella/Puerto Banus is generally extremely mild, with only light clothing necessary during most winter days. Not only are Marbella's winter months quite warm but they are also fairly dry, featuring infrequent rainy weather and few overcast days. With long hot summers stretching from late March though to mid November and with Winter temperatures averaging 20 and seldom dropping below 18C it is the perfect place to enjoy long family holidays or short weekend breaks.
Whether it be barbecues in the garden, late balmy evenings sitting on the terrace enjoying a glass of Rioja, quiet strolls through quaint traditional mountain villages, designer shopping in the Port or local street markets, eating at some of the best restaurants in Spain or simply lying on one of the sun drenched beaches or by the pool, enjoying a game of golf at one of the 4 local championship golf courses, tennis or water sports the exclusive Puerto Banus El Paraiso area has it all.
Thanks to its unbeatable climate and warm year-round temperatures, the Costa del Sol is a great option to escape from the cold.On winter mornings you can choose to enjoy an outing to the heart of the countryside, play a round of golf or go shopping at one of the typical local street markets. At lunchtime, why not get your strength back with a delicious snack on the lively, sunny promenade? In the afternoon you could continue with a cultural visit and, to finish off the day, what better than the excellent night life at one of the marinas? Because on the Costa del Sol, life is just as intense in winter as it is in summertime
The villa is a golfers heaven situated in the El Paraiso area which is 3 kms from Puerto Banus just off the A340 after the Marbella bridge.

The Markets The following markets take place every week from 9am- 1pm (or 2pm sometimes) They are definitely worth a visit and have everything from good value leather shoes to Spanish crafts, jewellery, fruit and veg, "designer" goods etc. Take cash and remember to bargain. They are all similar, with the same stalls etc. You should go to the relevant town and ask for the market.

Sunday - the Port of Estepona (this is smaller than the others)
Thursday – San Pedro
Saturday – Puerto Banus (ask for the Bull Ring).
SELWO SAFARI PARK. Huge safari park/zoo. Great fun. You are driven around on the back of small trucks. Take the main road ( N340 ) to Estepona – 2 KMs on the right you will see large signs (it's about 5minutes away).
HORSERIDING Further on from SELWO on the same side of the road is one of the largest equestrian centres in Europe. You can book horseriding lessons and in the evenings there are great Spanish horse shows in the indoor ring (you should go in advance one morning and buy the tickets from the office).

SHOPPING As well as the boutiques and expensive shops in Puerto Banus, La Canada just after Puerto Banus on the way to Marbella, is a very large American style shopping mall great for that odd day you want out of the sun.Corte Englise, as you turn into Puerto Banus, is the Spanish equivalent of Harrods with every designer name and a luxury food hall.Have lunch if you visit its excellent.MARKS & SPENCER have just opened a new store in Marbella

Places to Visit:
Casares is a beautiful little village, a taste of "real" Spain. Head towards Estepona and follow the signs. About 30 minutes by car, through the country. Park at the top of the hill before you drive into the village. Walk down through the narrow streets and then up to the very top of the hill where the castle ruins and cemetery are and watch the vultures, kestrels and eagles. Stop at the bar on the way down and savour the panoramic views over a beer.

Guestbook for Casa Paraiso
Dear June. A quick e mail to say thankyou very much for the use of your fantastic villa last week - unfortunately we are now home and the weather is dreadful - pouring with rain today!!
Whilst in Spain the weather was superb - hot sun every day -so we will have to treasure those memories. We thought the villa and complex were beautiful - pool was virtually for our own personal use!
We had some lovely meals out - Ramos, Restaurante La Ola in Puerto Banus and El Balcon D La Virgen in Marbella in particular. We loved Puerto Banus and Marbella - the old town is beautiful.
I hope you don't mind but we put some details of various things we discovered and did in your "villa folder".We were particularly impressed by the bus service (route 27, Marbella to Estepona ) which we caught on numerous occasions and so cheap - only 1.79 euros to Puerto Banus AND Marbella and 1.48 euros to Estepona - brilliant Any way thanks again for an excellent holiday and hopefully we will be back to stay again soon.
Thanks Mark Hi June
We got back home to wet England earlier today and are already missing our holiday house!
Just to say, we had a fantastic time and your home is beautiful. The complex was so peaceful and quiet, someday's we were the only people by the pool.
The grounds are so well maintained and your house is just stunning, I am sure that we will definitely be booking again for next year.
Thanks once again.
Justine & family x
...Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful house with us.As you know we have stayed in the area before but never in such style and comfort......
.....We managed to fit in two of the local markets, visit to Ronda and Gibraltar...We took your recommendation and managed to get a table on Saturday night in the courtyard at Ramos which was wonderful and no driving
...kids favourite was the pool and kiddies playground and disco at the bottom of the hill
...The kids had a ball in the kiddies pool and we enjoyed drinks and dinner on the terrace.
....we will be back
....My wife has decided she will treat your home as our holiday home...
