The Andalucia region
What was just a small Andalusian fishing-village ,Marbella/Puerto Banus, has been turned into one of the most exciting holiday resorts along the Mediterranean coast and one of the favourite places of the rich and beautiful. It was, however, in the 90's when Marbella began to be recognized as a "Universal City". The political action of Mayor Jesus Gil in the last decade of the 20th Century has significately developed the city. The Infrastructure, Cultural Centres, sporting installations, Municipal Offices, Golf Courses, New Avenues, Parks, etc and the encouragment of investors to come to the city have made Marbella/Puerto Banus a city to be visited by ALL.
Great beaches, great climate (with an average temperature of 18,7 deg.C all the year) and it only rains occasionally in November and March (the rain being insignificant the rest of the year), the wind blows frequently from the East and the weather is sunny more than 320 days a year.
Marbella offers a never-ending list of places of natural beauty mixed with avenues, parks, botanic gardens, the promenades, leisure areas, sports, gastronomy and entertainment that will make your stay highly enjoyable.
Puerto Banus is named after José Banús who was a real estate developer working in Andalucia and the Marina is one of the most important ports on the Mediterranean coast.
There are 915 tying-in points on the two piers, Ribera and Benabolá. In the clear blue waters the most luxurious yachts in the world have anchored and slept: the Nabila of the magnate Adnan Kashoggi, the Príncipe Abdulazis, the Tritona, and the Shaf. The port has been declared a Centre of International Tourist Interest and among its many honours has the Gold Medal for Merit in Tourism.
Real-estate developer José Banús took three years to build this famous marina and it was fomally opened in 1970 by Prince Rainier of Monaco and his wife, Grace Kelly. It cost 915 million ptas (€5,499,261)
With hundreds of restaurants to chose from in and around Puerto Banus/Marbella there is always somewhere new to go.
But there are many old favourites including Picasso's, De Bruno Italian restaurant's and Dalli's Pizza Factory if you have a young family or Liquid lounge for the young and trendy, Los Banditos, Restaurant Regina's or Zen for a relaxing evening, or Ocean, Nikki's, Puro or Mistral Beach Bars for a special day by the Sea for food and fun.
For shopping, there is a Saturday morning Street Market by the Bullring in Puerto Banus for every nic-nak and more, El Cortes Ingles department store and the designer boutiques in Puerto Banus and the huge shopping mall at La Canada in Marbella.
Gibraltar is less than an hour away by car, take your passport and go over to Africa on foot for the day on a ferry.
Try the huge long beaches of Costa de la Luz, or the old town of Marbella and its medival cobbled narrow streets.
Closer to home and for the real Spain, go to San Pedro or Benhavis, two very tradional local Spanish towns.
Finally, How many Golf courses do you want ?
Try the cheaper ones at Los Najancos,Los Arqueros, Guadalmina, El Paraiso and Santa Clara at around 70 Euros or go down to Valderrama for one europe best AT 290 Euros a round.

"set in aperfect location and beautiful apartment"
just a short walk to the beach front, if you turn left it is a 10 mins walk to Peuto Banus, if you turn right it takes you to San Pedro, which is all paved ideal for prams, scooters ect.
The apartment is beautifully furnished with 2 sunken marble baths, The balcony is very large and has sun beds. The pool area is very clean and well maintained, there were always loads of sunbeds available. There was a 80 Euro charge at the end of the stay for the cleaner which i thought was very expensive.
One draw back there was no internet access.
There is now communal Wi-Fi in the whole complex for guests and owners to use that covers all properties and pool side relaxation and communal areas.
The cleaning bill enables us to maintain high standards of cleanliness, with all laundry being taken to a dry cleaners in between guests and covers a local persons travelling expenses and a good reliable service.

"Excellent apartment in secure well established/maintained complex with first class amenities"
My wife and , I along with our daughter, son-in-law and lively 2 year old grandaughter stayed for a fortnight and had a super holiday. The apartment block was easy to find and there is secure dedicated underground parking with a lift from the car park to the door of this first floor flat. The flat is well appointed and there were lots of 'extras' in the store cupboards (toys, cleaning products etc) that were useful and we could replace foodstuffs if we used them. A note of caution is that there are two stylish bathrooms but the bath floors can be slippy and care needs to be taken when showering. The balcony is a large pleasant and secure area which was a relief with a young, curious child running around. The area is convenient for Puerto Banus but just far enough away from the bustle. There was a sizeable supermarket just a 10 minute walk away and plenty of pleasant walks in the area. We have stayed in the Marbella/Peurto Banus area several times previously and like it very much. We would have to say that this apartment met our needs perfectly and would stay here again without heitation. Hope this helps.

The apartment is fantastic. It is very spacious and in a lovely area. We visited in June and the complex was quiet which meant that the beautiful pool area and gardens were far from busy. The apartment has a large terrace that enjoys the sun from mid morning right through to early evening. The apartment is spotless and beautifully furnished.
It is about a 20 minute walk along the promenade to the marina which has numerous bars and restuarants and only a couple of minutes walk to the beach (including Mistral Beach Bar which I highly recommend for lunch). The walk to the promenade is a pleasant one but if you don't fancy the walk on the way back there are plenty of taxis to take you home.
A great apartment in a lovely location!
