The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
Year round sun, temperatures ranging from 63F ( in deepest winter : walk on the beach with your toes in the sea and the sun on your back - you'll never forget it)! to 85F or more in summer.
Gaze idly at the superyachts and supercars at Puerto Banus while you savour a paella and a chilled white wine at a harbour cafe. Stroll the elegant promenade at Marbella, and enjoy some barbequed sardines on the beach.
Drive the fantastic mountain road to Ronda and explore this wonderful old city and its superb views. Enjoy even more exciting views from the cable car at Benalmadena, perhaps after a hug with Bruno, the huge sealion, at Sea World.
Visit the apes, and watch their antics, on the rock of Gibralar, and explore its military history through its mountain tunnels. Venture a few kilometres further along the coast to Tarifa and catch a fast ferry for a day trip to Tangiers. Take a guided tour around this incredible old town, walk around the Kasbah , and enjoy a true Moroccan meal.
Puerto Banus / Menara Beach area
A paradise for golfers, with more than 50 courses within easy reach. Selwo Adventure Park, Funny Beach water park, and many other attractions are within easy driving distance. The Menara Beach complex offers undisturbed views of the Mediterranean, Gibraltar and the North African coast. Gibraltar is just 40 minutes away and from Tarifa, just a little further along the coast, fast ferries allow day visits to Morocco (although many will wish to stay for a day or two).
After your day's fun: Visit Tikitano (2 minutes walk) for a gourmet meal in total splendour. Or indulge in chilled drinks from the fridge on your own terrace, a BBQ of fresh prawns, Dorado (sea bass), lamb and salad, watching the sun set over North Africa? Decisions! Decisions!
Too tired? Fast food then - the local deli (on site) will bring you barbequed chicken and other ready to eat delicacies in no time at all. Then settle down to watch a Sky movie in Dolby surround sound on your own 60" home cinema screen. Or watch it in bed on your widescreen TV!
How to get there
Malaga Airport: is located 6 km to the west of Malaga city and 80 km (55 minutes by car) from Estepona. The journey by car to Estepona is mainly by motorway and very straightforward.
Driving directions to apartment B22, Buganvilla, El Menara Beach, Estepona:
After leaving the airport take the N340/E15 initially signposted Cadiz, follow the signposting to Benalmadena and continue onto the A7 towards Algeciras, which reverts back to the N340 after Marbella. Continue on this road, through San Pedro, taking the Selwo Adventure Park exit, immediately after Kilometre marker post 163. Turn right at the roundabout, coming back on the N340 in the opposite direction. Take the second exit immediately, after Km post 163 and the Las Dunas hotel. Take the second turn on the right, left at the roundabout (signposted Princess Andalucia hotel), passing the Las Nayedes development on your right, right at the roundabout and Menara Beach is the development on the left in front of you.

I must say there was so much room we all had our own space and the upstairs suite was just fabulous. My son loved the pool and all the communal areas were spotlessly clean. "Our stay at 2.22 Menara Beach exceeded our expectation. The apartment was in immaculate condition when we arrived, clean, fresh linen and particularly well equipped. We were delighted to be able to take advantage of the pool, sauna and at the same time be only a two minute walk to the beach. As we were on golf tour, the proximity to most of the courses we played meant a car journey of a maximum of 25 minutes to the furthest Club. Also a welcome surprise to find Sky Sports available, as we are all sports freaks! Our thanks are extended to both the Landlords, and the exceptional and friendly help from Linda and Schula at Rentals in Costa Del Sol. We look forward to re-visiting soon!
