This spacious apartment is situated in the tranquil Los Naranjos de Marbella complex - a prestigious Andalucian-style development which has 24-hour security patrols for added peace of mind. Whitewashed walls, characteristic squares, latticework balconies and sub-tropical gardens give Los Naranjos a flavour of the real Spain, making this complex the ideal base for the perfect Mediterranean holiday - it's an easy 15 minute walk into the Puerto Banus marina and just 35 minutes from Malaga Airport.
It is overlooked by the commanding 'La Concha' peak of the Sierra Blanca mountain range which gives this area of the Costa del Sol its own mini-climate. The apartment looks on to a swimming pool and there are two other pools within 30 metres. Both the mountains and the seas are within comfortable walking distance.
It is an ideal base for golf with three internatiopnal standard courses close by and the Marbella Driving Range and the floodlit 9-hole Damas des Noches course respectively, 5 and 10 minues walk away.
The furnishings and decoration are of a high standard and the apartment comes with all the facilities one would expect from first-class accommodation. In the heat of the summer the apartment is air-conditioned, whilst for the brief and mild winter there is central heating.
It has off-road parking very close to the apartment. A Mercadonna supermarket is also close at hand ( but not close enough to be a disturbance). There is a cafe next to Mercadona and a bar and restaurant nearby.

The apartment which is on the first floor of a three-story building, was completed in summer 2005. It has marble floors throughout, luxurious furnishings and decorations and all the 'mod cons' one would expect to find in a luxury apartment. The main bedroom, which is en suite, has a super king size bed, there are two single beds in the second bedroom and pull-out beds for use in the lounge. The kitchen, which has seating for four, has an adjacent small terrace/utility area. The main terrace has two sun loungers and ample seating around a table for six. It has great views - one way looks over the swimming pool which is set in sub-tropical gardens and the other, through further gardens, to the impressive La Concha mountain peak.

Los Naranjos de Marbella is a well-designed development set in lush sub-tropical vegetation. There is ample free parking and swimming pools 'in abundance' (the apartment overlooks one and has two others within 50 metres). Just a couple of minutes from the apartment is a Mercadona supermarket which is open between 8.15 in the morning to 9.15 at night. On the Mercadona site is a newly opened cafe. Less than five minutes walk from the apartment is a club house which includes a bar, restaurant, tennis and paddle tennis courts. The club also runs events for adults and children in the High Season.
All facilities of the apartment and the development are available all year round.
The Andalucia region
The Costa del Sol is renowned for its year-round excellent weather and fantastic beaches. It is also great for golfers and is known as the "Costa del Golf".
There is everything for the holiday maker from fine beaches to typical white-washed Andalucian villages. Within easy access of the apartment are the historic towns of Malaga and La Ronda, both well-worth a visit. Gibraltar is less than an hour away and Tangiers in Morocco can be reached by a day trip.
Puerto Banus, is famed for its sandy beaches, fashionable designer shops, magnificent yacht marina, international restaurants and bars, is a flat 20 minute walk away. 20 minutes in other direction takes you into the foothills of La Concha. The local area is packed full of amenities for people of all ages with golf, beaches and nightlife. Every Saturday there is a well known market at the bull ring (a few minutes walk from the apartment).
Nueva Andalucia beach, just to the west of Puerto Banus, is a busy tourist beach offering all sorts of water sports such as windsurfing, jet-skiing, water bikes etc. You can also hire sun beds or sit and watch the world go by in one of the many beach restaurants.
The international resort of Marbella is 10 minutes drive away. It is a fascinating mix of a high fashion resort and a charming white-walled Adalucian town with orange trees decorating the central square.

Thanks for your comments. I think 35 minutes is something of an exaggeration in terms of how long it takes to walk to the port. It's a mile from Los Naranjos to Puerto Banus so it would be a very gentle stroll if that were to take 35 minutes. There are no sun loungers around the pool because the community is very keen to keep Los Naranjos as a clean and natural environment. Taking the very light sun loungers (deliberately bought to ensure ease of carrying) down one flight of stairs, seems to me to be a fair exchange for the unspoilt environment of the community. However, if you are looking for a noisy place close to the clubbing heart of Puerto Banus, then Los Naranjos would not be for you. If, on the other hand, you are looking for a beautiful and tranquil location with swimming pools, supermarket, bars and restaurants all within two minutes walk (and Puerto Banus 5 minutes by taxi)then do try my apartment.

The apartment rental overall was very good with our contact very helpful. We decided to book our own taxi which was more trouble than what it was worth. Apartment very clean and spacious,excellent, supermarket on doorstep. Pool area gardens pristine with non stop gardeners always busy. However, i feel that it could be more beneficial to have some kind of pool area cleaners to get rid if all the sticky drink spills, food crumbs etc, unfortunately left by the guests around the pool and attracted very annoying number of flies. Overall we enjoyed the trip and more than happy with the standard of accommodation.
