Los Flamingos boasts 3 superb 18 hole par 72 golf courses and one 9 hole course which have been carefully designed by Antonio Garcia Garrido. It has played host for The Daily Telegraph European Seniors Match Play Championship and other major events. The resort also boasts a superb 5 star hotel, the Ritz Carlton Villa Padierna with outstanding restaurants, bars, spa, gym and tennis courts. The world renowned resort of Puerto Banus is only 5 miles away with it's luxurious marina, restaurants, bars and designer shopping. The town of Estepona is only a few miles away in the opposite direction (heading towards Gibraltar).
For those looking for relaxation by the sea, the closest beaches are only a 5 minute drive from the apartment. There are also a number of stunning beach clubs in the area, such as the local Puro Beach Club within the nearby Laguna Village (Estepona).

The lounge area is spacious and includes an Italian leather suite; 42" Bang & Olufsen HD LCD television with built in multi region DVD player and Sky/Astra satellite channels, (including sports and movie channels) and a portable Bose iPod sound dock is also provided to allow guests to enjoy the music of their choice throughout the apartment or by the pool (using your own i-pod).
The living area has sliding doors to the terrace, with views over the golf course, hotel and the sea. The dining area has a fabulous glass topped table with seating for six. There are also 2 sun loungers to relax on and enjoy the Mediterranean sun.
The kitchen is fully equipped with every appliance you could wish for - dishwasher, electric hob, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer & washing machine. An iron and ironing board is also provided.
Master bedroom with four poster king-size bed, spacious wardrobes and sliding doors leading onto the terrace. Deluxe en suite with double sinks, walk in shower and jacuzzi bath. Wall mounted flat screen lcd tv with built in dvd player and satellite tv.

The apartment is situated within the exclusive gated Los Flamingos resort. Remote control security gates provide access to the apartment complex and to the garage situated below the apartment building. Parking available for 2 cars and 1 golf buggy. Lift from car park to apartment on the 1st floor.
The large infinity pool with adjacent children's pool is located directly below the Apartment with loungers available for use. Luxury bathroom, shower and changing facilities are situated by the pool for your added covenience.

A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your reservation. The balance is payable 8 weeks prior to arrival.
An additional payment of 25% (min £250.00) of total booking will be taken 8 weeks prior to arrival, to be refunded after departure check for breakages, mis-use, additional cleaning if required.
A meet and greet service can also be arranged for a small additional cost during working hours (Please ask owner for details).

Also known as the "Costa del Golf" the area truly is a golfers paradise with many courses to choose from to suit your game.
There is something for everyone be it golf, sightseeing, shopping, quality dining, nightlife or relaxation. Along the coast there are a number of stunning beach clubs, for example, Laguna Village (www.laguna-village.com) and Buddha Beach Club (www.buddhabeachbanus.com) where you can relax in the sun and have bars, restaurants and shopping all to hand.
A short distance away from the apartment, POSH (made famous by the programme Marbella Belles on ITV) offers an extensive range of beauty treatments, PowerPlate and much more.
In the evening, you will be spoilt for choice when eating out. Only a short distance from the apartment, the hillside village of Benahavis offers many award winning restaurants and is well worth the drive.
Only a 10 minute drive away, Marbella old town offers a more traditional Spanish feel, with a wonderful choice of restaurants to suit all tastes.
Nightlife to suit anyone is in abundance - from quiet tavernas to hip night clubs and bars where the fun can go on until the very early hours.
There really is something for everyone.
Watch the world go by at one of the many cafes and restaurants located within the harbour area or stroll the many boutiques and bars situated within this coastal paradise.
For those looking for a more action packed adventure, Marbella Watersports (www.marbellawatersports.com) is situated alongside the beachfront 5* Gran Hotel Gvadalpin Banus. Only a short drive from the apartment, they offer a variety of activities such as jet ski-ing, canoes, banana rides, pedalos, flight parasailing, hydro jets, snorkelling, scuba diving, and even yacht charters. Other options such as jeep safaris are also readily available in the area.
For those that wish to explore all that the Costa Del Sol has to offer, you will find the following towns located along the coastline as you travel west from Malaga airport towards the apartment; Torremolinos, Benalmadena, Fuengirola, Marbella, Puerto Banus, San Pedro & Estepona.
As well as offerng a variety of picturesque marinas and beachfronts, holidaymakers can enjoy trips to places of interest such as Fuengirola Zoo, with its fascinating moonlight area, Mijas Aquatic Park and the Tivoli World Amusement centre.
Travelling further west along the coastline takes you to Peurto Duquesa and on to Gibraltar. Famous for the Rock of Gibraltar, with spectacular views of the Atlas Mountains of Morocco, the British Colony of Gibraltar offers a 45 minute sail to the fascinating town of Tangier in Morocco on the North African Coast. Tangier is famous for its souks, traditional moroccan cuisine and a variety of sightseeing options. Whilst in Gibraltar, you can benefit from tax free shopping!
Within a couple of hours drive inland, if any one place comes close to rolling together everything that’s quintessentially Andalucian, it’s Seville.
As you can see, the apartment offers a wonderful base for travelling in and around the Costa Del Sol, with a variety of options to suit all tastes.
The climate is excellent all year round with the winter months reaching a pleasant 20 degrees or more - perfect for all the sightseeing available in the area or a game of golf or tennis. In the Spring and Autumn temperatures hover around a very pleasant 25 degrees or more and in the summer months it is the ideal time to dress down for days on the beach, shopping, sight seeing and much more.
The Puerto Banus / Los Flamingos area
The Golf Resort Flamingos is situated at the end of a peaceful, tree lined avenue, just off the 'New Golden Mile'. Sitting alongside the 5* Villa Padierna Ritz Carlton Hotel, it ranks as one of the most attractive and desirable locations along the Costa del Sol.
The Apartment is an ideal base from which to explore the surrounding area with Puerto Banus, Marbella, San Pedro and Estepona within a 15 minute drive.
Set against the stunning backdrop of the La Concha mountains, Puerto Banus is often described as "Spain's playground for the rich & famous".
With its famous marina, restaurants and designers shopping, Puerto Banus is a perennial favourite with A-listers and mere mortals alike.
Offering more traditional Spanish culture, Marbella's "old town" is packed with interesting places to visit as well as an array of places to eat and drink. Whilst wandering through the cobbled streets, visitors in the Marbella area can enjoy a wonderful range of shopping opportunities, with many of the local shops specialising in locally produced leather goods, such as shoes, bags etc. As well as catering for adults, there are a number of outlets offering children's footwear, clothing & toys.
Within a 10 - 15 minute drive, you will find a number of sandy beaches and beach front promenades. For those looking to travel inland, the quaint mountain village of Benahavis has many award winning restaurants with spectacular views.
Situated at the foot of the entrance road to Flamingos Golf Resort, Cancelada - the local village - has an array of restaurants and cafes to enjoy. As well as quality dining options, many of the restaurants offer a take away service, should you wish to relax back at the apartment and enjoy al fresco dining. Mercadona and Supersol supermarkets are at the end of the approach road in Cancelada (the supermarkets sell everything you may need including all nationality of newspapers, as well as a wide range of quality wines, beers & spirits).
Golf
With approximately 50 golf courses between Malaga and Gibraltar, the Costa del Sol is a golfer’s dream. Indeed, with the highest concentration of golf courses in all of Europe, it’s not surprising that many have dubbed the area the ‘Costa del Golf’.
Overlooking Los Flamingos Golf Club
The apartment at Tee 6 directly overlooks Flamingos Golf Club, a magnificent course designed by Antonio García Garrido. Opened in 2001, Los Flamingos has played host to the PGA European Senior Matchplay Championship for the last three years. Flamingos Golf Club is one of three championship-quality golf courses in the immediate vicinity.

Pleasant 45 minutes drive from Malaga airport along the coastal road. Major roads all the way with beautiful sea views on the left from Malaga or to the right if driving from Gibraltar.
- Flights start from just £89 return to Malaga airport from the UK (that's including all taxes and fees). I have found Easyjet, Thomsonfly.com, BMI Baby and Ryanair to offer the best prices. 2-3 hour flight time from the UK.

We visited this property at the beginning of September with friends for a 5 day break. From the moment we arrived at the accommodation we were blown away by the high standard of accommodation and facilities available. That coupled with the location, the views and the service received by the owners was second to none and we really couldn't find fault with anything. It had that home from home feeling with everything you needed to make your stay more than comfortable. The location of the apartment is ideal if you want to get away from it all and wind down. It is just a short taxi/car journey away from Puerto Banus and Marbella. Taxi's are reasonable enough at around 16-18 euros. All in all we had a fantastic time here; it was everything we asked for and more. Don't delay in booking this, you will not be disappointed. |

Fabulous apartment equipped to a very high standard. Lovely bathrooms. Super large patio/balcony with lovely view of the golf course and beyond. The pool is super. The whole complex is gorgeous, well kept and serene. There is a beautiful 5 star hotel on site but it is very quiet. In fact the whole place is quiet. You definitely need a car. But we had a fabulous holiday. |
