The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
Just minutes from Puerto Banus, and a short distance from Marbella Town and to the best golf courses. There are many excellent restaurants nearby to suit all tastes and budgets and Benahavis the famous "gourmet capital" of Costa del Sol also a 5 minute drive.
The charming town of San Pedro de Alcantara which has retained its Spanish character is also 5 minutes away and is full of typical restaurants serving local fish dishes where the local people dine out in the summer evenings. Weekly street markets in Estepona, San Pedro and the local bullring are a must for terrific bargains in shoes and handbags or even designer sun glasses.
Take a day trip into the mountains and visit Ronda and the white villages of Andalucia. It’s a great way to see the spectacular scenery of the area and get into the real Spain.
Puerto Banus / Jardines de Aldaba area
Trips to Tangiers are easy on the high speed ferry or do some serious duty free shopping in Gibraltar which is only 30 minutes away on the new motorway.
