The fully-fitted, modern kitchen has a bar overlooking the lounge dining area with a large designer sofa bed. The Costa del Sol region
The Costa del Sol is situated on the south of the Iberian Peninsula and it came into being as an international tourism resort in the second half of the last century. This vibrant, cosmopolitan tourist region is known for its unique blend of all year round sunshine, mountains, sea, rural villages and sophisticated tourist resorts.
Costa del Sol enjoys good weather right through the year with summer temperatures varying between 25 and 30 degrees and in winter rarely dropping below 14.
The Puerto Banus / Puerto Banus Centre area
Puerto Banus is located just west of Marbella, before you reach the small town of San Pedro de Alcantara. This is the place to be pampered yachtside and ogle those fabulous luxury yachts while sipping a drink at one of the many open air restaurants and bars. The setting is close to ideal, with its impressive mountain backdrop and ocean views.
Puerto Banus features a casino, commercial shopping centre, a Corte Ingles department store, marine observatory and a multi cinema with films shown with their original soundtrack. Nightlife buzzes at Puerto Banus with your choice of alfresco bars, piano clubs and discos while during the day this is a window shopper´s dream with several of the world renowned fashions houses featured here, in addition to small, interesting shops and boutiques. There are regular boat trips available on a regular basis from the central promenade. Every Saturday morning at Puerto Banus by the bullring is a very popular street market where you can pick up all sorts of bargains.
Water sports - jet-skiing, kite boarding, surfing and sailing.
Golf - there are nine 18-hole golf courses and one 9-hole golf course within a 10km radius with lighting facilities for playing at night.
Sea and mountain - hiking in the mountains and swimming in the waves. Try a motorbike or mountain bike excursion. Ski down the slopes of Sierra Nevada in the winter months (2 hour drive).
Relaxation - health spas, sunbathing, shopping, sightseeing, dining out and lounging in various cafes.
Explore the surrounding villages for culture and inspiration or if you are feeling adventurous take a horse ride on the beach.

From the moment that we arrived at the gates to the harbour of Puerto Jose Banus, it was apparent that this was a little bit of heaven. This sentiment was cemented further when we arrived at our accommodation, pertinently named Chic designer apartment. When walking into the apartment I was instantaneously greeted with modern, well thought out interiors at contrast with the hallways and staircases leading up to the apartment; for these have a traditional Spanish feel. The apartment has everything you could need: breakfast bar, crockery, cutlery, dishwasher and many more things that I would remember if I had cooked there more. We spent the majority of the time trying the local delicacies at the abundance of restaurants and bars dotted all around . The lounge area was airy with a sofa that felt like I was on a massive divine marshmallow (this can be turned in to a large double bed at night) Although there was a widescreen TV we didn't watch it much apart from in the mornings in between showers. The shower room is by far the most modern of the rooms. Floor to ceiling chic with spotlights in the floor as well as the ceiling. A very spacious shower that allows room for more than one! However, the most fabulous aspect of the apartment is the bedroom. The door is a sliding funky 'industrial' style door (like the one in the film ghost in their chic apartment) leading into the bedroom where there is a raised platform with steps ascending to the bed. Because the bed is mounted, opening the blinds with the remote control allows you to lie in bed while looking out at the blue ocean and yachts moored in the harbour. The apartment is completely air conditioned and in a secure gated building! We had no problems on arrival and looked after by the agency responsible for the apartment. The apartment is also based in the centre of Puerta Banus. You could literally throw a Dior diamond bracelet from the apartment and it would hit the Dior shop on the main street. It took about five minutes to walk to the beach and bars. A superb place! |

Me and my friend stayed in Banus and this apartment was just amazing. You can't get any closer, you are smack bang in the middle. (no noise, music or loud people) due to being on 4th floor. (with lift). The apartment is situated on the street which includes Dior, Toy Watch basically the main Street, one street behind the bars, but I must illiterate no noise at all. The apartment it self was amazing, big spacious and clean. My only moan was that more towels were needed! But I do believe this has been noted. It would appeal to all ages old and young. There is about 10 steps to get to the lift. So easy for most able person. Also unless you are travelling around in the day you do not need a car and will cost you loads to keep it parked. Kindly enough the management who look after the apartment picked us up and dropped us back to airport for half the price of a taxi. He was very kind a really nice person. Taxis from the airport in peak season can cost easy 100euros one way ! He charged us 100euros return ( although this was September) but amazing. We are booking again for 2012 and if you don't book then you are clearly missing out on a secret gem. |

This apartment most definitely lived up to the description and photographs displayed and exceeded my expectations. It was a very well furnished and luxury apartment. The bathroom and kitchen were very clean and beautifully decorated. The lounge and bedroom were equally beautiful and very comfortable! Good collections of magazines provided. The security safe came in handy. The extra beds would have been a great help if we had more guests staying with us. I loved the art of the walls, very Banus Chic! The apartment is well located in the Port and is not affected by any noise disturbance. Hana was an absolute pleasure to deal with; she was very helpful and accommodating. Her agent met us at the apartment on time and was friendly and polite. |
