The luxury 2 twin bedroomed apartment Casa Carla, which comfortably accommodates 4 people, is peacefully located in this beautiful white pueblo, Andalucian style complex in Neuva Andalucia close to Puerto Banus. The complex is gated with 24hr security. Casa Carla comes with hot/cold air-con, 32" flatscreen LCD-TV, matching DVD player, iPod speaker system, Playstation 2 games console and CD player - selection of cds, dvds and PS2 games in apt. The lounge is spacious with two large sofas and large dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble drier, oven/hob, microwave and ironing facilities. Both bedrooms have plenty of wardrobe space and are en-suite with bath and shower. Linen and towels (including pool towels) are provided. There is a terrace which is accessed from both lounge and the main bedroom, which incorporates a comfortable seating area and adjacent dining area with barbecue. We have a selection of lounging chairs suitable for terrace, pool or beach use. Wi-fi available at 2 adjoining bistros "Delicious." and "Amados". A Welcome Pack is provided on arrival – some basics to get you started!

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region

The Costa del Sol is one of Europe's most popular year-round holiday spots, stretching for 160 kilometres to the east and west of Malaga on the south coast of Spain and providing miles of magnificent beaches.
The coastline here is sheltered by hills and high mountains allowing for a kind of micro climate. This limits rainfall, and as a result the region enjoys sunshine for in excess of 320 days per year. The sun is at its hottest during the summer months, with temperatures rarely falling below 30°C (86°F). The typically very mild winters, boast daily highs of around 20°C (64°F) and at night the low rarely falls below 10°C.
Malaga is the capital of the Costa del Sol and the birthplace of Pablo Picasso. It's Spain's second largest port and has a cosmopolitan flavour along with much traditional Andalucian charm amid its maze of medieval streets.

Puerto Banus / La Maestranza area

Puerto Banus is just a 15 minutes walk away from the apartment or a few minutes drive. Puerto Banus, is home to some of the finest shops and restaurants in Spain and has a large yacht marina and offers you beaches with views towards Africa and Gibraltar.

Puerto Banus is linked to the centre of Marbella not only by road, but by a car free promenade and a water-taxi. It takes approximately 1.5 hours to complete this peaceful, coastal walk or half an hour on the boat.
One of the best and largest markets on the Costa Del Sol is the street market at the Bull Ring only 5 minutes away from the apartment - every Saturday 9.00 - 2.00.
El Corte Ingles is a very large department store situated near to the port. This offers a full shopping experience with all the big brands represented. There are several places to eat / drink within the store. You will also find 'Hipercor' which is a hypermarket situated on the ground floor.
Puerto Banus's relaxed friendly atmosphere can provide everything for a holiday stay and makes it an excellent choice for families and couples with something for everyone in this area of the Costa del Sol.
The Costa del Sol is also known as the 'Costa del Golf' due to the numerous golf courses in the area. Casa Carla is located in the Golf Valley, which means you are within 10 minutes drive of 5 courses - Las Brisas, Los Naranjos, La Quinta, Aloha, and La Dama de Noche - and within 30 minutes drive from at least 12 other courses.

The historic town of Ronda and the delightful White Villages are close by. The cultural centres of Seville, Cardoba and Granada are also possible places to visit. You can go on a day trip to Morocco or Tangiers from Algeciras and Tarifa or visit the apes on the rock of Gibraltar. There are many marked walks in the Andalucian mountains for those who like to explore on foot. Spain's vias verdes (greenways) are one of Andalucia's lesser known rural attractions and a great way to discover the countryside off the, sometimes well-beaten track. In the winter months you can ski on the Sierra Nevada mountain range - about two and a half hours drive - snow and sun in one day!

If you are holidaying with children - you are well catered for. There are aquaparks in Fuengirola (which also has an excellent zoo) and at Torremolinos. Near to the water park in Torremolinos, is a Crocodile Park. The Selwo Wildlife Adventure Park is well worth a visit, where you will find over 2000 animals from every continent living in semi-free conditions on the one million square metre site! Tivoli World, in Benalmadena, is a theme park with the usual rides, attractions and restaurants. For those who like their sports, there are tennis and golf activities - check with local press. Don't forget the blue flag beaches of Puerto Banus and Marbella! Multi cinemaplexes at Puerto Banus and Marbella - as well as American bowling. Of course, you may prefer to stay in the complex and let the family enjoy splashing around in one of the pools! Kid's morning sports club 5 mins walk away - variety of activities over a week with a weekly "award" ceremony. My nephews love it! (And so do their parents, as they get some time to themselves!!)

And if you prefer getting away from it all (as we do!) there are miles and miles of marked walks through the national park behind the Cost del Sol. The wildlife and flora that can be seen is just fabulous - we have a variety of guide books. Please use them - you'll be amazed at the "other side" of the Costa del Sol.

How to get there

Casa Carla is 60 km from Malaga Airport and the journey takes approximately 40 minutes by car..

Fly to Malaga Airport and then either hire a car, get a taxi or arrange for collection. A return taxi journey can be pre-booked for just under 140 euros.

A welcome pack is provided at no extra charge which includes tea,coffee,sugar,bread,milk,butter,cold meat,cheese,wine,beer and water. However, should you wish something special, such as cava, fruit or flowers, then we will be happy to provide these at cost.
We have a selection of beach equipment for your use - this includes mats, chairs, parasol, coolbag, beach shelter and beach games.
If you would like to explore the nearby national parks we have a selection of guide books and maps - we also provide a rucksack and walking poles.

Further details outdoors:
A supermarket (superb fresh fish counter), restaurants, coffee shops, internet café and chemist are just some of the facilities in the immediate vicinity of the complex, whilst even more restaurants, shops and bars can be found at the Centro Plaza, which is a 5 minute walk from the apartment. You can easily go out for a meal or a drink and forget about the car. A 15 minutes walk from La Maestranza and you are at the beach, experiencing to the full the bustle of the marina and its wonderful selection of exclusive designer shops and larger stores. We usually walk into the port then jump on a bus or get a taxi back to the complex.

Casa Carla is the place to stay if you want all the comforts of home. Every thought has been given to make sure your stay is one to remember. A high standard has been maintained throughout to ensure your comfort. Every conceivable kitchen item is there should you want to cook and the nearby supermarket is well stocked. Restaurants and cafes are close so you have the best of both worlds – you only have to decide whether to eat in or eat out.
There is information and maps provided and it is a pleasure to sit at the swimming pools in this scrupulously clean complex.
We are returning next year, for the fifth time, to once again enjoy all this apartment has to offer.

Hi Carol,
Just returned from a wonderful week at your beautiful Spanish retreat.
The apartment was a real home from home and had everything we could have wished for.
The complex was great and our young son Joe, loved the swimming pool so much we spent most of the week
on the sun loungers soaking up the sunshine.
When we did manage to persuade him to venture out, we found everything was so close at hand.
We ate at some of the places you recommended which were really good value for money and served up some
lovely food. My wife loved the market on Saturday, especially the shoe stall, Oouch!!
Thanks for everything Carol, the information and communication before we left was much appreciated.
We also wanted to save a mention for Tilly and Adi ( your keyholders) who were also very helpful and friendly.

We had a great time at Casacarla! The weather wasn't great the day we arrived but was lovely from then on. Having a heated pool was a big plus with the children - they were in there all the time. The apartment was lovely and spacious and had everything we needed- having a welcome pack was great. We ate at some of the restaurants you suggested which were really good and also cooked a few times taking advantage of the great fish selection at the supermarket. We all agreed we would go back to Casacarla.

Hi Carol,
We had an absolute ball & really loved the apartment it was everything we had hoped for & more. It had absolutely everything in it, that one could possible need even down to a Pizza cutter; it is obvious that it is a much loved get away spot. The complex itself was lovely & we felt very safe in it, both for ourselves & more importantly for the children. It was just the right distance from the hustle & bustle of the port, a very manageable walk even for a 5 year old. We will defiantly be recommending it, to anybody that is heading down to that part of Spain.

Hi Carol and Bill
Just to say we had a fabulous holiday and your apartment was absolutely lovely. It accommodated us as two adult couples really well and we were all of the opinion that the apartment was of a 5 star quality, as it was so beautifully furnished and of a high quality.
We worked out that your apartment was the eighth one we had rented and yours superceded them all. We were very grateful for the welcome pack as that is something we haven't had before in other rentals. We desperately tried to find fault, or one thing that wasnt available to us within the apartment, and the only thing we came across which you didn't provide was an elastic band (as my book fell apart from its spine ) ha ha. I think thats pretty good going don't you.
We met Tilly on arrival and she came in mid week to change the beds and towels, she's a very nice lady and keeps the apartment beautifully clean.
We ate at the restaurants you had recommended, which were excellent, and also sat people watching at Puerto Banus Harbour although the drinks were a bit pricey. The walk in was quite an easy walk, all in all we had a lovely holiday.
We had a day trip to Gibraltar (a bit grotty now I thought) and a day out in Ronda which was superb.
I must thank you for all the information you gave us for around the area and for helping to making our stay so comfortable.
