The Costa del Sol region

The most popular of all the Costas, the coast here gets over 300 days of sunshine a year, allowing visitors to enjoy the beaches, golf and sunshine all the year round. Two and a half hours from the UK, the coast is accessible by all the main and budget airlines with many flights a day, making a long weekend as easy to consider as a main 2 week annual holiday.

The main draw for the apartment's location is the nearby port of Puerto Banus with its billionaire yachts and fantastic night-life. Slightly further a field is the sophisticated Marbella and the scenic Rhonda. Golf is a big draw down here, with over 50 golf courses and a season which lasts from spring until December! You can be playing golf at the end of November in 25 degrees sunshine!

The Puerto Banus / Los Arqueros/San Pedro area

Golf: The area is a golfers paradise with over 50 golf courses within easy reach of the apartment. The nearest being 'Los Aqueros,' which is only 4 minutes drive from the apartment, an 18 hole par 72 championship course with driving range, club house, gym, squash and tennis courts.

Location: For non-golf lovers San Pedro is 5 minutes drive away, a traditional Spanish town with many restaurants, weekly market & beautiful family beaches & promenade. There are many restaurants & bars within this spectacular marina. Marbella is a 15 minutes drive, a cosmopolitan town, with its quaint old town centre & picturesque orange tree square. There are many charming restaurants & bars & plenty of designer shops to browse.

Further afield the historic, beautiful town of Ronda is just 45 km from the apartment with its spectacular views & breathtaking gorge. Gibraltar is 60 minutes away, daily ferries can take you from here to Tangier to experience the Moroccan & African lifestyle. Cordoba, Seville & Granada can all be visited as day trips. Skiing is 2½ hours away in the Sierra Nevada mountains.

Out & About: Both Granada & Seville are day trips away, whilst traditional villages such as Mijas & Nerja, are just a short drive. One of Spain's most beautiful villages is but an hours drive through the spectacular Sierra Bermeja, Ronda, is a village full of old world charm. With its Arab baths & beautiful gorge, El Tajo (The Cliff), where the view leaves one breathless, not forgetting the oldest bullring in Spain, Mirador, which features it's own museum & also boasts the largest arena in the country.

Granada, being a University town, is full of life and interests. Those interested in the cultural aspects of Spain will enjoy a visit to Alhambra, a beautiful Moorish monument. If skiing is your thing, then just half an hour's drive from Granada are the Sierra Nevada mountain ranges or, if wind surfing is your passion, then Tarifa in the province of Cadiz is one of the best places in the world to be.

Puerto Banus: Puerto Banus is the most fashionable resort in Southern Spain. It is a busy Marina, not only for some of the most impressive yachts in the world, but also as one of the most popular locations for dining & night-life in the Mediterranean. All tastes are catered for, there is something for everyone - cafes, restaurants & boutiques are clustered around the harbour. Puerto Banus is the ideal place to relax & admire the yachts whilst having a drink on the waterfront. See if you can spot a famous face or two as people stroll by. Malaga Airport 45 mins away by toll motorway. Follow signs out of airport for Marbella/Cadiz A-7.

Take the junction just past Puerto Banus for Rhonda/San Pedro and Ocean Pines is located 5 minutes off the motorway on the Rhonda Road A-397. On the Rhonda road, take a left down a little road before the entrance to Los Arqueros golf and country club.

Airlines that fly to Malaga include BA, Monarch, Easy Jet all schedule.
