The Costa del Sol region
As a holiday destination with so much to offer, the Costa del Sol has a regular stream of visitors. The superb selection of golf courses attracts golfers throughout the year.
Puerto Banus is situated between Marbella and San Pedro (approximately 6 km from Marbella).
There is a wide array of bars, restaurants and designer shops along the water-front. As far as restaurants in Puerto Banus are concerned, you will find that dinner in Puerto Banus
becomes a pleasure for the senses. The best restaurants are all here!
Since its inception some forty years ago, the port has steadily grown and now features a casino, commercial shopping centre, an El Corte Ingles department store, marine observatory and a multi cinema with films shown with their original soundtrack.
The Puerto Banus / Mirador del Rodeo area
Puerto Banus is one of the most exciting resorts on the Costa del Sol. It boasts a buzzing nightlife with bars, restaurants, piano bars and nightclubs, as well as excellent shopping opportunites in shops ranging from the top international fashion houses to small boutiques. Alternatively, for the bargain hunters among you, every Saturday morning outside the bullring there is an excellent market where you can pick up all sorts of interesting goods for great prices.
Of course, most people choose the Costa del Sol for its sun, sea and sand - and the beach adjacent to Puerto Banus is a great spot, perfect for sunbathing and with a European blue flag. If you really want to have a bird´s eye view of the port, then why not take one of the regular boat trips from the central promenade?

Unfortunately the apartment location was real let down. It was by a very busy main road ,that was noisy even in the early hours of the morning. The complex was generally noisy and although the gardens were well tended there was cat and dog excrement on the grassy areas,especially where the apartment was. Although the apartment was within walking distance of amenities, it was not a pleasant walk and unsuitable with young children or people with walking differculties. You would be much better off renting a car, as there are plenty of lovely places to visit for the day. |
