Families are particularly well catered for, with many attractions, restaurants and of course miles of beaches.
The Puerto Banus / Puerto Banus Centre area
All tastes are catered for, there is something for everyone - cafes, restaurants and boutiques are clustered around the harbour. Puerto Banus is the ideal place to relax and admire the yachts whilst having a drink on the waterfront. See if you can spot a famous face or two as people stroll by. This is definitely a place "to see and be seen"! The choice of international restaurants is amazing, with most of them situated right on the Marina with spectacular views.
Puerto Banus is the most fashionable resort in Southern Spain. It is a busy Marina and has some of the most impressive yachts in the world. It is also one of the most popular locations for dining and nightlife in the Mediterranean.
The nightlife in Puerto Banus is incredible, with a huge choice of alfresco bars, casinos, piano clubs and discos. Puerto Banus and Marbella boast some ofthe finest stores in the world for clothes, furnishings and all the accessories of luxury living. If shopping is your passion designer names such as Gucci, Chanel, Jimmy Choo, Louis Vuitton, Armani and Versace are here in abundance. For another view of the Marina, boat trips are available on a regular basis. Also available for hire is a range of sporty water transport.
Puerto Banus is home to some of the best beach clubs which include the popular Ocean club and Buddha Beach club where many people all over the world come to attend the amazing parties.
Between the restaurants and bars is a vast selection of shops selling not just top designer fashion, but also shoes, leather goods, children's wear and souvenir gifts. There are several art galleries and a large commercial shopping centre with a department store El Corte Ingles, situated at the entrance to Puerto Banus.
Puerto Banus has a multi cinema complex with original soundtracks. This is the only one in the Costa del Sol! In addition, there is horse riding, hang-gliding, hot air ballooning in the hills and a lot of superb gymnasiums. There is a market on Saturdays at the Bullring for more reasonably priced clothes and holiday bargains.
In summary, Puerto Banus is a year-round resort with outdoor dining and swimming in the sea possible from April to October. Spring is great for golfers and for visitors who enjoy the relative tranquility and pleasant temperatures (up to 25 degrees C). Summer is wonderfully hot (at 30 degrees C or more) and the resort buzzes with activity. Autumn and Winter are still pleasantly warm and sunny (at 20 degrees C or more).
