The Andalucia region
The Costa Del Sol remains one of Europe's most popular destinations. The 100km coastline has some of the best Yachting marinas where there are plenty of sunny outdoor cafes and great shopping facilities and vibrant night-life after 10pm.
In the summer the beach clubs like NIkki Beach, Laguna Village and Ocean club are full with stylish holiday makers relaxing to Music from guest Djs and live bands.
For the more traditional there are great Chiringuito restaurants serving tapas, paella and great seafood at very affordable prices. We recommend Plaza beach, Heaven Beach and Bora Bora for the best food and entertainment......all are within a 10 minute drive of los Arqueros.
Puerto Banus and Marbella old town have great restaurants for fine dining and we recommend that you visit the beautiful little gastronomic town of Benahavis at least once.
There is much more to Marbella than beaches....If you get out and look for it you can find traditional Andalucia is not far away.
Puerto Banus is one of Europe most popular tourist attractions. Here you will see beautiful yachts, shiny super-cars and elegant shops. You can walk the world go by from the waterfront cafes.
Those who look a little further will see that there is more to Banus and Marbella than just this however. There are fantastic local restaurants that offer excellent value and friendly bars and cafes just off the main drag are where locals and tourists mix that make for great evenings. There is live music, watersports, horse-riding and other great events happening on a daily basis.

"Perfect from the very start through to the finish!!"
Wow, myself and 8 other ladies stayed here in May for my friends Hen Do which I organsied. Planning was very stressful but booking this accommodation and booking this through Martin was the breeze easy, easy going process. From emailing an enquiry through to booking Martin remained available and calm throughout all of my emails (I fear there were hundreds in the end! - Sorry Martin), he made suggestions and advised me the whole way through, I was never chased or hassled for any confirmations, which I would of expected as may of fell behind in some responses. We finally got there, all ladies had only seen images of the villa, Martin had very kindly also offered us the transfer journey which was pleasant and easy. We got to the accommodation and the presentation was breathe taking, Martin was there to greet us and gave us a brief tour and left us to it but not before ensuring me that he is on the end of the phone should we need it. We then picked our lovely rooms, all of which were faught over but everyone was more than happy with it. During the evening and the morning, we found a few tiny niggles. One of the set of keys may of been incorrect or not working and one of the bathrooms had a mini leak, Martin was informed the following morning and then it was all fixed by the afternoon. Such a great villa and always helps when the villa manager is as helpful as this! We continued to have a great 3 night stay in Marbella, even got invited and partied on a super yacht!!!! Just brilliant! I will be haunting Martin again shortly with emails in order to book us to go out again next year!!! Get ready. Do book this Villa, it is gorgeous, in a lovely convenient area walking distance to the beach, buddha beach and the strip as well as some lovely restaurants and bars - but you can't hear them which is very important when hungover!
HI Victoria, Many thanks for your lovely comments...they are much appreciated. I have to say you definatley smashed the email correspondence record with your booking :) but it was a pleasure having you there and thank you for taking such nice care of the place. Thank for you for your nice comments on the management/problem solving... we always try to make sure that if any problems arise for any of our guests, that we deal with them quickly and professionaly. Hope to see you all again next year. Best wishes. Martin VILLA DIONNE & OTHERS

"Beautiful villa - it exceeded all our expectations and we would definitely go back!"
We were a party of 8 girls on a hen weekend and had a fantastic stay at Villa Dionne. The photos don't do it justice as it's much more spacious than it looks - even with all 8 of us running around getting ready for a night out, we didn't get in eachother's hair! The rooms are all well sized with plenty of storage space. The master room is gorgeous - we had a little fight over who would stay here! The twin room and master room leads onto a spacious rooftop terrace with a lovely view of the mountains and the whole area. The kitchen is newly fitted and there is every pot and utensil we needed during our stay. Overall decor of the villa is modern and clean, there's a nice big dining table in the living/dining area with enough chairs for us all and there's also furniture in the veranda area which gave us the option of dining outside - we regret not making use of the barbeque! The front garden is beautifully lawned with a little pool and loungers for us to enjoy the sun. We felt very very relaxed at the villa and wish we could have stayed longer! Location wise, this is in a lovely quiet residential area away from the noise but everything we needed were not far from reach. The city centre and marina are approx 15/20mins walk downhill, very handy for us to go out during the day and evening. But we caught taxis back at the end of the night as we didn't fancy climbing uphill in our heels! There is a supermarket round the corner where we were able to pick up drinks and bits for dinner. Just next to that is also a tapas bar (El Dorado) which serves really tasty food for lunch. The village is only 5 mins uphill, there's are a handful of restaurants which we didn't get to try - as made use of the kitchen to cook - but all looked very nice. The only little problem we had was the water ran out when we all had a shower at the same time but we were warned of this when we checked-in and learnt to stagger our showers so problem resolved. Martin, the property manager is also a very friendly guy who made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Overall, lovely villa in a great locations which I would recommend to anyone!
HI Oiki, Many thanks for your lovely review....Im really pleased you had such a good time. We hve had lots of really good feedback this year and we will keep making small improvements to make the villa even better as time goes on. We have even doubled the size of the hot water heater now...so we have more than enough hot water now....even for the larger girly groups. It was a pleasure having you at Villa Dionne....please come back and visit again. regards Martin

"Nice villa, needs some work though."
I stayed at Villa Dionne with 6 friends for 5 nights in May. On arrival the villa seemed very pleasant. The pool was small but perfect for what we wanted, there were plenty of sunbeds and the outside space was good. The villa itself was much better downstairs than upstairs. The lounge area was great in size and very comfortable, there was a large dining table and the kitchen was newly fitted. The kitchen lacked some essential items though, there was a very bad selection of glasses, no wine glasses and only 1 or 2 matching glasses, all the knives and scissors were totally blunt which was quite annoying as we ate lunch in a couple of times. There was only 1 teatowel left which just wasn't enough for our stay, there were however, plenty of towels. Upstairs, the rooms were ok, although most being pretty basic, the master bedroom was nice, having an en-suite which had been newly refurbished, some more work clearly needs to be done as there are no shelves in the shower, therefore no where to put any items that you use for washing, the shower itself didn't work properly with the water just trickling out of one side, this was the same for all 3 showers. There were also no hooks for towels. The ad states there are 4 bathrooms, there aren't, there is only 3 bathrooms. The smallest bedroom which had bunkbeds in was a big disappoinment with one of the mattresses smelling of wee, we had to change this round. The shared bathroom had a leaking toilet which was pointed out on arrival, but to be honest, should have been sorted out before we arrived. I also think the villa should provide a maids service, even if this increased the price slightly, with 7 girls in there for 5 days (the villa sleeps 9), it could have done with being swept and the bathrooms being cleaned etc. The pool also got very dirty raound the edges, we did shower off any suncream as instructed, before entering the pool, but it was still very grimey around the edge, we were told someone would come and clean the pool on the Friday, but no-one came. We did have a problem with the door lock whilst we were there, totally our fault as a key was left in the lock on the inside. Martin sorted this out for us very efficiently. The ad states that Banus iteself is a 5 minute walk, it isn't, it actually takes about 15 minutes. However, the location of the villa is great, it is within walking distance of shops and restaurants etc, and the road the villa is located on is extremely quiet, peaceful and attractive. My comments may sound menial but when added up it was a shame as this villa could be much better, and lets itself down a little bit. I would stay at this villa again, but do believe that the upstairs still needs a little bit of work and attention, to make it a more enjoyable stay.
