The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
There are several organised excusions to all places of interest. Being centrally located, this is an ideal base to visit the inland town of Ronda, with the oldest bullring, and great for leather goods, such as shoes and bags! The whitewashed village of Mijas, pearched in the hills behind Fuengirola, is a great day out, where you can take in the breathaking views. Marbella is a must, and only 5 minutes drive away, you can visit the old town, and take a stroll along the paseo (promenade) that will take you back towards Puerto Banus along the Golden Mile. Gibraltar is approx 40 minutes away. - Dont forget to take your passport and enjoy a day out, discovering the history behind Gibraltar, visit the monkeys, and enjoy tax free shopping.
Puerto Banus area
Puerto Banus is unquestionably the most exclusive resort on the Costa del Sol, renowned for its nightlife, restaurants and shops. Popular with groups and ideal for families with young children. There are lots to do for all members of the family. The white sand beaches are always kept immaculately clean. Close to the glitz and glamour of Puerto banus yet just a few minutes drive away from the natural beauty of the Sierra de Ronda mountain range and 1 km from the town of San Pedro. An ancient farming community, once famous for sugar cane, today San Pedro is a refreshingly unspoilt pueblo with an appeal all of its own.
The local beach (5 minutes walk) Mistral Beach is definitely one of the best and most popular beach clubs around! A stones throw from Puerto Banus it really is ideally situated. There are ample sunbeds to relax during the day and a superb water sports centre for those wishing to be a bit more active
The restaurant itself serves up quality food, much of it cooked on an on-show barbecue by their charismatic head chef! The menu has been designed to suit all tastes and size of appetite, the brochetta of beef for 2 people is out of this world! The beach bar is always on hand to keep you refreshed, my recommendation lunchtime jugs of Sangria...
Partnered with the club is Hollywood watersports. Jet skis, Banana rides, Water skiing/Wake boarding, Charters and Pedalos; they offer one of the Costa del Sol's premier water sports collection. Drop your bags and head for the beach, you have arrived in paradise.
This lively place has become one of the most well-known in Marbella and it is not hard to see why. Either relax all day on the beach or take part in some of the activities available to you, it’s a winner for all the family, and when you require a little break from the sun why not take the 5 minute stroll to Puerto Banus.
The Saturday morning market is held by the Puerto Banus Bullring and is a 10 minute stroll from the apartment. Be sure to head for the central plaza in San Pedro with its gracious parish church and surrounding narrow streets which are packed with intriguing small shops, sidewalk cafes and bars. Thursday is street market day with all the associated hustle and bustle; a veritable bargain shopper's paradise. A pleasant walk is from the centre of town to the beachfront along the Avenida del Marques del Duero, which is a particularly attractive wide avenue flanked by palm trees. And the modern wide promenade is ideal for continuing your stroll (or skateboarding!) with several excellent chiringuitos (beachside restaurants) specialising in fish dishes. San Pedro also has the last summer fair ( feria ) in Andalucia being in the second week in October.

We all had a great holiday and the accommodation was brilliant. We were within walking distance of the beach and the marina which was much appreciated as sometimes it could take up to an hour to get through to the the taxi company!! The apartment throughout was immaculate and the decor was to a high standard. Thanks again for a fantastic stay and we will be sure to rent the apartment again when we return to Puerto Banus! The apartment and location were excellent ... thanks.. I went to Gibraltar, Marbella, Seville and San Pedro. All different in their own way. Puerto Banus harbour was lovely. The prices at restaurants were good value considering the location. Terra Senna, which you recommended, was excellent. Just my type of restaurant and food. I also tried there Express branch in the Marina Shopping Mall. News Cafe was also good for light lunch and coffee. Thank you again I will definitely be recommending to otheres. The accommodation was very easy and straight forward to book and there weren't any problems even though we were very last minute! The apartment was immaculate and the service was also great. Very nice people and great to deal with. The accommodation is suitable for all singles and familes . Very clean and home-like in a great location, only 5 mins from beach and 15 mins from main marina and had everything we needed. Booking, communication and money transfer was straight forward and easy .
