Home description

Palma Mallorca international airport is only a 30 minute drive to the apartment. Car hire is recommended for exploring this exceptionally beautiful island, full of suprises and with something for everyone.Puerto Andratx is a picturesque fishing village in the South West corner of Mallorca. The Port has upmarket restaurants, bars, and shops in a beautiful setting. It is only 35 mins drive from the airport and lively Palma. An aqua park, golf course and the nearest beach is less than 100 metres away from the house. The resort has exceptionally clear and clean water perfect for all types of water sports including Scuba diving and sailing.
The house has a south facing terrace and a large open plan living and dining area which is comfortably air conditioned. The house has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (one ensuit) and a separate cloakroom.

The Mallorca/Majorca region

Majorca or Mallorca, whatever way you prefer to spell it, and whatever way you wish to pronounce it, is the largest of Balearic Islands, and along with its sister islands of Menorca and Ibiza, lies in the Mediterranean Sea off the south east coast of mainland Spain. Flying time from most UK airports is around 2 - 2.1/2 hours and on arrival local time is 1 hour ahead of Greenwich Mean Time. The first recognisable landmark on the final approach before landing will be the magnificent 14th Century Gothic cathedral at nearby Palma, and the sight of it from the air never ceases to take your breath away.


Puerto Andratx area

Andratx municipality is located in the southern area of the Tramontana mountains, on the farthest western point of Majorca; this area is characterized for being the area with lower altitudes. Its territory (83 sq. km - 32 sq. mi) presents large cliffs and small coves, such as Cala Llamp, Cala Germec and Cala Basset. Furthermore, the municipality is conformed by four small islands: Camp de Mar, Mitjana, es Pantaleu, and Sa Dragonera. The later is the biggest one and was declared National Park in 1995.

Regarding areas with more population, the most important centres are Andratx Port, Camp de Mar, S’Arraco, and San Telmo. Andratx offers tourists a varied landscape with beautiful coves and mountain peaks, rendering amazing panoramic views. Some peaks include the following: s’Esclop (the highest one, with 928 m - 3044 feet)), les Planes d’en Verd and s’Ordi; all of them located in nearby areas.

It is one of the most beautiful natural ports in the Majorca Island. It presents idyllic landscapes formed by coves with clear waters; among them, the Llamp, Moragues, and Egos coves highlight. Besides, you should visit the Promenade full of almond fields. Nowadays, this place –which formerly was a fishermen centre- is visited by tourists from allover the world as well as by politics, show, and sport celebrities.



How to get there

Most european airlines fly to Mallorca including BMI, Easyjet, BA, Ryanair, Thomas Cook, Jet2, Monarch and Thomsonfly and taken only 2.5 hours to get their. The Airport to fly to is Palma (PMI). There are a couple of car hire companies within the airport complex.

Bath Towels and Bed linen is provided. Cleaning is before and after stay and there is an extra maid service provided at an extra cost for stays lasting longer than one week.


Conditions

There is a 25% non-refundable deposit payed at booking with balance. This is due 3 weeks before arrival date. There is a breakage deposit of £300, which is refundable in full.
