About the home

The house is located in a quite cul de sac with parking directly in front. With three bedrooms, it would suite a group of four or five adults. It is also ideal for a family with two parents 2 children and grandparents or indeed two families with 2 children in total or 3 couples.

There is a very small beach in the Port but most clients would drive to Sant Elm, Camp de Mar or Paguera for their superb beaches.

The PC with internet access would appeal to clients who wish to use email and to keep in touch with family and friends. It has Skype downloaded and can be used with all other social media.

The house has a lounge with its own terrace overlooking the Port and well equipped kitchen. On the first floor, there is an ensuite bedroom with two single beds which are normally pushed together to make a large double. There is another bedroom with a double bed and settee and both those rooms have a terrace overlooking the Port, Also on this floor is a family bathroom with a large walk in shower.

There is a third bedroom with two single beds which can also be pushed together to make a double. On the second floor is the swimming pool and a third terrace with garden furniture and sun beds. There are two staircases within the house and three more to reach the front door so not suitable for the less mobile.

The house is one of a set of 5 almost identical houses which share the same swimming pool. They were built in 1994 and are terraced following the contours of the mountain side.

From the two front terraces, it is possible to watch the boats come and go, look out towards the Mediterranean and see further inland towards Andratx and the Tramuntana mountains.

The house may be rented by the day for stays in excess of 5 days. There is a local caretaker who will meet clients at the house and will provide a tour of the house and facilities and local knowledge of the area.

The rental includes all bedding and towels required and there is likely to be some basic items such as coffee, tea, sugar, soap, etc. as long as the previous clients have replaced what they have used.

Conditions

The payment is required when the booking is confirmed. There is a separate end cleaning fee to be paid to the caretaker of 123 Euro. Smoking is allowed on the terraces and ashtrays are provided.

The Mallorca/Majorca region

This location would appeal to those who wish to use the house as a base and then to explore the area by day and return home in the afternoon or evening. Then leave the car and walk down into the Port to finish off the day with a meal at one of the many sea side restaurants.

Children will enjoy the swimming pool in the summer months and there is plenty of room to sunbathe in view of the pool.

It is also suitable for those who prefer just to relax and enjoy watching the boats come and go in the busy Port. There is still a very active fishing fleet who use the Port and they have a shop next to where the boats moor up which sells any excess fish to cook on the Bar B Q.

The Puerto Andratx area

The town of Andratx is only 3km away and is host to a very busy open air market on Wednesday mornings. There are excellent beaches at Camp de Mar and Sant Elm, golf at Camp de Mar and Santa Ponsa, cricket at Magaluf, and diving in the Port.

The Port often has festivities in mid summer and there is a night club for the younger members of the family.

There is a Eroski supermarket within 150 metres of the house which has a deli counter and freshly baked bread.

From Palma Airport drive through Palma heading West and passing Palma Nova, Paguera and Andratx and down into Port Andratx. It is also possible to get a bus from the airport into Palma and then another bus to the Port or indeed a taxi.

It is a drive of 25 Kilometres and takes approx. 40 minutes. There are many car hire companies located at Palma Airport including Record Rentacar, Goldcar, Auriga and Sixt.
