The Coastal Montenegro region
A tiny Balkan nation perched on the Adriatic, Montenegro is at once familiar and unique. Its sun-splashed coastline is scattered with pretty coves and medieval villages. Montenegro offers its visitors natural beauty and diversity from endless beaches to soaring mountains, vast fjords, clear lakes and rivers, Venetian hamlets and untouched national parks. Whether you wish to spend your days relaxing on the beach, enjoying a fishing trip, touring ancient cathedrals, sampling rustic cuisine, cycling the verdant mountain trails, or simply taking in the stunning views, Montenegro is an excellent choice for your holidays!
Budva, the centre of the Montenegrin Riviera is a classic Mediterranean "Old Town" hidden behind impressive city walls. Its fascinating open squares with Churches and white stone narrow streets are bustling with boutiques, galleries, cafes and restaurants. A worthwhile visit!
Przno is a Picturesque Mediterranean settlement which has preserved a lot of its ancient character. It has an attractive bay with its emerald colour of the sea and gorgeous sunsets. You will enjoy an informal local atmosphere in this small fishing village where you will find a selection of inviting bars and restaurants both along the beach and within Przno. Przno avails of an outpatient service, post office, food market, several other shops, boutiques and a children play ground. A 4 star Hotel Maestral Resort & Casino is situated in the Bay which offers Spa & Wellness facilities, tennis courts and great entertainment & Cabaret evenings.
Close by is the Milocer Park, take a 30 mins leisurely walk through its cedar forest to Sveti Stefan - a tiny island which rises dramatically a few yards off a beautiful curved beach and is linked to the mainland by a bridge. Sveti Stefan has managed to retain much of its ancient character and consists of a 14th Century walled village (now an exclusive hotel complex) topped by an Orthodox Church. So picturesque it is almost unreal!
Also in the close vicinity of Przno are located the Monasteries Praskvica and Duljevo.
A regular bus service operates every 15 minutes. Taxis is safe, cheap and available in Przno.
