'Ourania' is a luxury two bedroomed villa on the 'Orestiada Home Valley' development which sleeps up to 5 people. The villa is finished to a high spec with granite worktops in the kitchen and high quality furniture, fixtures and fittings. The villa is very spacious and homely and suitable for families or two couples. There are two bedrooms, one double and one twin with plenty of room for the travel cot and/or full size single airbed. Both bedrooms have views over the pool and the local landscape.

There is no need to hire a car as everything is within walking distance. The villa is in a quiet location, not overlooked as much as other villas and the pool has the sun on it all day.

The pool is approximately 8m x 4m (with a shallow and deep end), with floats and inflatables, ideal for kids or adults... plenty of room for everyone! There are loungers for around the pool to get a great tan and an outside dining table and chairs on the patio for serving up food off the BBQ!

For children the villa is ideal, with a 32" flat screen satellite television, xbox 360 with games, and a toy box to keep them entertained. Also provided are two travel cots (one for the bedroom and the other as a playpen downstairs) and high chair on request at no extra charge.
For nights when you stay in there is a large selection of DVDs for all the family to enjoy.

Ideal for people who want a quiet, relaxing holiday but still close to the beaches and a short walk away to the bars and restaurants. Plus, Protaras and Ayia Napa are only a short bus journey away so ideal for more lively nights out.....

Facilities

The villa is fully air conditioned throughout (units are also heaters) and a calor gas heater is provided during the Winter months. The villa has a good sized lounge area with two leather sofas seating up to 5 people. There is a 32" flat screen TV with local Satellite channels which accommodates an Xbox 360/DVD player (which plays CDs) and also a good selection of games/DVDs/CDs.
There is a safe in the villa to keep all your personal belongings in.

The kitchen is beautifully finished to a high standard and includes all your mod cons such as toaster, kettle, microwave, electric oven/hob, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and all the cutlery and crockery required for a very comfortable stay. The dining table seats up to four people with room for the high chair if required. Both the lounge area and kitchen have patio doors which overlook the pool, leading onto the lovely veranda.

The bathroom is fully tiled and has a bath with overhead shower, w/c and sink with storage. There is also a downstairs w/c.

Both bedrooms have views of the pool and local landscape. The main bedroom has patio doors which lead to the balcony overlooking the pool and where you can enjoy watching the sunset. There is a double bed and fitted double wardrobes, bedside cabinet and large mirror.

The second bedroom has twin beds this also has fitted wardrobes, bedside cabinet and mirror. There is plenty of room for the full sized air bed to accommodate an additional person.
A travel cot is provided for those travelling with a baby.
Both bedrooms are fully air conditioned.

A mobile phone is available to our guests at the villa which for which you can buy local phone credit - calls are a lot cheaper this way!

Further details outdoors:
From the lounge and kitchen there are patio doors leading out onto the beautiful patio with overhead wooden beams. There is an outdoor table and four chairs to enjoy your meals in the lovely sunshine or catch the sun setting across the view of the open landscape.

In the garden you will find our fantastic pool which is positioned for the sun all day - not shaded like some pools, around which has plenty of room for the 4 sun loungers so you can relax and tan in that glorious Cyprus sunshine.

There is an outdoor gas BBQ and the lovely landscaped garden has fencing around to give you privacy.

There is lots of outdoor lighting around the pool and garden areas which lights up the pool and villa in the evenings making it feel warm and romantic, making your holiday extra special............

There is a communal basket ball court on the complex and we supply tennis rackets and balls for your use.

There is a regular bus service just around the corner that takes you to Protaras, Agia Napa, Cape Greko, Agia Triada and Paralimni all for 1 each way or buy a bus day pass for just 2 euros (children travel for free).

*A non-refundable deposit is required of £100.00 per week at the time of booking.
*Balance of holiday is due 8 weeks before departure + a refundable breakages deposit of £150.00. If everything is ok after inspection by our property services agents we will refund your money of £150.00 within 1 week of your return home. (We do not charge for small breakages).

The Famagusta region

Cyprus boasts of blue sky and sunshine 360 days of the year. The summer months experience temperatures going up into the 90's during July and August and the Winter months are mild.

The crystal clear sea and the golden sandy beaches of the Famagusta area gently embrace the eastern corner of the island with the popular resort of Protaras a veritable paradise for anyone who loves the sea and water sports or simply relaxing on the beach. Within a few minutes driving distance from Protaras is the beautiful harbour of Ayia Napa and the medieval monastery in the middle of the town.

Also to be seen are the windmills and small churches of the surrounding villages including the beautiful church of Profitis Elias at the top of a rocky hill, and not to be missed the picturesque fishing refuge at Potamos Liopetriou with its varied selection of coffee shops and fish tavernas.

Resorts in Famagusta out of the tourist season are quieter during the months November to Easter, (the main tourist season normally being from Easter to November). Out of season, the Protaras main strip is closed but there are a selection of bars and restaurants open in Pernera, Kapparis and Ayia Napa all year round and Paralimni has shops and supermarkets open all year. There is a bus service very close to the villa which goes around the island stopping via Pernera. The full range of local activities described below relate to the tourist season.

The Protaras / Pernera area

Pernera is one of the closest areas to Protaras, there are two local beaches plus bars, shops, supermarket with bakery and restaurants all within a 10 minute stroll of the villa. The bars and restaurants offer great entertainment and food for families, couples and groups of friends. For eating out there is plenty to choose from - chinese, indian, italian, mexican or a steakhouse restaurant, pizza hut, kebab and fish & chip takeaway amongst others. A favourite place of ours is 'Knights pub' - with a fantastic menu offering a wide selection of good food and the service is excellent. For entertainment we recommend 'Windmills' which is a hotel, bar and restaurant opposite 'Knights pub'. There is entertainment everynight which includes a hypnotist (had some great fun watching this one!), parrot show (the kids & adults love this one), Blues brothers, comedians and lots more. More entertainment, the latest films and Sky sports can be found in a number of the pubs in Pernera to watch and enjoy.
To sample cypriot cuisine and especially a 'meze', there are a number of restaurants where you can sit back and relax taking in the Cypriot culture.

Protaras is within walking distance - a 20 minute walk but there are plenty of taxis and regular buses if you wish to use transportation. There is a bus stop near the complex which will take you to Protaras, Ayia Napa (also directly to Nissi Beach and the large water park), Cape Greco and Paralimni which is great for shopping.

The two local beaches are called the Golden Coast and Pernera beach but you can walk the coastline all the way to Fig Tree Bay in Protaras! Pernera boasts a beautiful marina and cafe which is situated next to the Golden coast beach. You can sit and relax watching the boats or enjoy the watersports on the beach if your feeling more energetic! There is also a water park in Pernera to cool the kids off if its getting a bit too warm!

There are local tour operators who offer various trips to Troodos mountains, Famagusta view point, glass bottom boat to Cape Greco, fishing, diving and lots more..................... plenty to do in Pernera!

Within only a few minutes by taxi, bus or car, you could be in Protaras and within a 6minute drive you are in Ayia Napa. These resorts are livelier and offer a larger selection of bars and nightclubs.

There are two main airports into Cyprus: Larnaca and Paphos.
Larnaca airport is the closest to the villa being just a 40 minute drive along the motorway. Driving is on the left and the roads are not very busy which makes hiring a car a great option and a great way to explore this fantastic island. The car hire desks at the airports are open 24 hours and we will forward easy, straightforward directions to the villa. Alternatively, we can arrange a car transfer to pick you up and take you back making it a relaxing holiday from the start.

“Looking forward to returning to this villa as soon as we can!” This was our 2nd week at the villa - 1 week Oct 2010 & 1 week Oct 2011. This is a fantastic villa with very friendly and helpful owners - we really appreciated the welcome pack on arrival, the advice from their friends in Cyprus and being able to stay at the villa until late on our day of departure. Lovely beaches are within walking distance along with bars, restaurants, bakeries, boat trips & car hire - everything you could want for a relaxing holiday. We hired a car for the week, but found out you could take a bus just about anywhere for only 2euros. We are hoping to return again soon and would definitely recommend this villa. “This Villa Has It All” We have stayed in this Villa twice. Sept 2010 for 9 nights and Sept 2011 for 16 nights. Out of all the Villas we have stayed in this is by far one of the best. The Villa is very well kept, its very clean and has a lovely pool area, everything you need. Short walk to the beach, shops, bars and restaurants Jo and Chaz arranged transfers to and from the airport and there was a welcome pack waiting for us. I would definatley recommend this villa. “Brilliant, can't wait to return !” We spent a week at this beautiful villa in a perfect location not even 10 minutes slow stroll into Penera. Pool was a very welcome addition especially in the heat, as were the many perks usually charged extra like the AC and the welcome pack, much appreciated on a later flight arrival. The owners are a pleasure to deal with and take up the offer of a lift from their friendly contacts in Cyprus, apart from being cheaper than a taxi, they also give great advice like the 2 Euro all day bus pass. “Fabulous Villa - we didn't want to come home!” We have just enjoyed a wonderful week at the villa. It has everything you need and is equipped to a very high standard. The owners take great care to ensure that you have a fantastic holiday and the welcome pack on arrival was most appreciated. The villa has spacious rooms and was immaculately clean on arrival. The pool at the villa is fantastic. It was so relaxing being able to lounge around it and have it all to ourselves. Our children's swimming skills have progressed enormously during our week's stay. It was a great bonus to have all the children's swimming and indoor toys. The villa is located in a very quiet area but a short walk into Pernera with its numerous restaurants and bars. We hired a car as we wanted to tour the island but the bus services are very good and allow easy access into Protaras for even more restaurants and to the waterpark. It is only a short 10 minute walk to the nearest beach (Golden Coast) which is next to a harbour from which you can take day boat trips. We thought that this beach was the best of all the coves in Pernara. We would definately recommend this villa. We had a brilliant time thank you. We couldn’t fault your villa, it is lovely. We’ve stayed in quite a few villas and apartments and I can honestly say it is the best equipped accommodation we’ve ever stopped in, everything that we would use at home was there and plenty of plates, glasses etc. We didn’t watch any dvds but I think it’s great that they are there if you want to watch them. We were all so comfortable and relaxed in our lovely surroundings. Thank you for our welcome pack that really is thoughtful especially when you arrive after a late flight. I would definitely consider returning in the future sometime as we really had a great time and loved Cyprus and all the beautiful beaches we visited, the sea was so blue and calm. I think we would find it really difficult to hire the villa out if it belonged to us, as we would always be wishing to go there. Thank you both so much for everything, Nicola and Bryn, June 2010.
