Villa Chloe Protaras
About the home
2013 will be our 9th year of welcoming guests to Villa Chloe! We think we have got better and more professional each year. With our background in property letting, design, and hospitality, we hope we are on the right track and love seeing our bookings grow every season, and our positive reviews. Our swimming pool is a very good size, 8 metres by 4, it has just been relined and we have also added steps in the corner, so its even more fun for children to play in, and for adults to sit in with a drink! Plenty of room to sit round the pool with new outside furniture and plenty of sunloungers, no need to reserve with a towel at 5am!
For the last 3 years we have been fully booked for high season, 2012 was fully booked from March right through to the beginning of November.
We decided to make Villa Chloe as comfortable and luxurious as we could: a lovely detached Villa with two bathrooms (I didn't want to share with teenage boys!), One walk in power shower in the en suite, bath with power shower in the family bathroom, and a downstairs loo. Comfortable beds, huge wardrobes with loads of hangers. Full length mirrors, hairdryers, etc etc! For more photos have a look at our Facebook Page! Just google Villa Chloe Protaras Facebook.
Furnished with Designers Guild and Habitat furnishings, enjoy our spacious lounge. After a day at the beach, Imagine relaxing on the big squashy sofas watching satellite TV or choose from our large selection of DVDs on the large flatscreen TV and DVD player. Listen to music on the CD or ipod docks with surround sound. Or choose from our games and large selection of books, from best sellers to classics.
We have just had Broadband installed, so you can use your laptops or smartphones for a small additional cost.
For the keen cook, enjoy our modern kitchen with lots of accessories : Jamie Oliver saucepans, blenders etc to get the best from the fantastic local produce . If that's not your thing don't worry; there are several good Tavernas in walking distance, and Japanese, Italian - whatever you want - 5 minutes by car or by 'George' our friendly local taxi! For nights in, eat 'al fresco' at home there's a wonderful mosaic built in barbecue for relaxed nights, sit under the pergola, put the pool lights on, relax and listen to the cicadas.
The master bedroom is romantic and en-suite, with a large shower, for total privacy, and a door to the balcony to enjoy the early morning sun, or a sundowner.Complete with a full length mirror to check out your tan, an i pod dock, and hairdryer, plus masses of wardrobe space and hangers. We have just put in a ceiling fan which gives a lovely breeze, perfect if like me, you prefer to sleep without aircon.
Two further bedrooms, the larger twin room also has a ceiling fan, and now has an i pod dock, and a flat screen TV, PLUS Sony PS2, which can also be used to watch DVDs, and French doors to the balcony. The smaller twin room, has a slide out second bed, which can be used or not as your party requires, and wonderful sea views. A large bathroom with bath and shower , and lots of storage for all those creams and potions! We also now have a cot , including all linen, a high chair, and stair gate.
The living room has 2 large squashy sofas, one of them converts to a king size bed, to sleep 2 more guests. We also have a comfortable leather swivel armchair, and large stool, so there is ample seating for at least 8 people.

Any units over your allowance are charged at 30 cents each.
The meter is read at the beginning and end of your holiday, and we have only rarely needed to charge an excess.
We charge £15 a week if you would like internet access, we thought we would rather not increase our rental prices , but only charge if it Wifi is required.

This is a prime property and we are sure you will respect it however, accidents and breakages do happen and we ask for a £250 fully refundable deposit in addition to your rental amount. This is returned within a week, after the inventory is checked by our management service. We would never deduct for a couple of broken glasses etc,We made one small deduction last year, for lost keys, one the year before for a extra air con use, and none so far this year which is exactly how we like it!

BookThe Famagusta region
We have some of the best beaches in Europe. This is now official! Trip Advisor members have voted Ayia Napa as being NUMBER ONE and Protaras as NUMBER 3 best beaches in Europe, in addition we also have many smaller coves, all within walking distance. Cyprus also enjoys a wonderful climate, guaranteed sunshine in summer, but, being right on the coast , we usually have a slightly cooling breeze as well, bliss, particularly in the summer months! We are not far from the border and its easy to now do a trip to the north for the day where you can visit Famagusta and Kyrenia whch in particular is stunning, have a drink at the harbour and admire the scenery. The nearest towns to us are Pernera & Protaras , Pernera is 3 minutes by car, Protaras is 8 minutes. These both have a vast selection of restaurants - and not all Cypriot. Choose fron Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Mexican and Italian etc. If you like Watersports there is plenty to choose from including deep sea fishing. For fantastic scenery you must vist 'Cape Greko' with spectacular walks on unspoilt coastline with wonderful views - particularly at sunset. This is around 10 minutes drive from us and before you reach Ayia Napa. Paralimni is the other near town which is very good for shopping. There are excellent Supermarkets here: 'Orphanides' about 5 minutes from the Villa, and a new Carrefour, a minute or so further. They sell everything you could possibly need and are great value. Within 2 minutes' walk you have a local small supermarket/store where they are very friendly and sell all the basics. Ayia Napa is near, and has many shops and still retains the original town centre with its historic buildings.Of course, it is also famous for clubs and bars, and fantastic sandy beaches, with or without surround sound bars, depending on your preference! If you are hiring a car its worth visiting Nicosia, the shopping is good and the restaurants are wonderful. There are various museums and historic buildings to visit.
The Protaras / Pernera area
Local restaurants you must try are: 'Sirena Bay' - 5 minutes walk with wonderful sea views , and a little water polo area, also lovely at night and very romantic. The other good restaurant for 'Fish Meze' is Onasis, go hungry , because you get a lot! We are also in walking distance of the Golden Coast Hotel, a very popular wedding venue, so have had many wedding guests staying at Villa Chloe. The lovely Pernera is very close, just around the bay from the Golden Coast Hotel, my favourite area, full of lovely cafes. the decked walkway to Protaras, beaches, and our new favourite restaurant!Kalamies. This is right on the beach and heavenly! Fig Tree Bay, Protaras, just voted Europes number 3 beach by Trip Advisor Protaras is close by car , it takes us 8 minutes, buses there for 1 Euro, every 20 minutes in high season, or approx 12 euros.by taxi, great bars and restaurants, try Eden Square. Within 15 minutes drive, or again by our new lovely buses, 1 Euro only, you have an excellent 'Water Park' in Ayia Napa for the kids plus a go-Kart track., and Europe's number One beach, as voted by Trip Adviser! There are various night Clubs in Protaras. If you've got time go to Paralini, another local town. It's more local and there are some good restaurants and shops.

Loved this property - it felt exciting as soon as we opened the door - really fresh, clean and roomy. Been to a few rentals and this was less clinical and faceless than usual. The instructions worked for everything, so there was no hassle. My favourite features were the balconies off the upstairs rooms, the ensuite shower and the colour scheme. The children, however, liked the pool best without question, and spent their entire time there. Grandma alternated between floating sedately round the pool and relaxing nearby with a G&T. When it gets properly hot the shady outdoor dining area is bliss. The best outings we had were to the FANTASTIC water park near Ayia Napa- best I've been to anywhere in the world because it's so laid back, though a bit lacking in shade. Give it the whole day. Onassis restaurant on the main road nearby is great for fresh fish. BRILLIANT bakery but so much more than that nearby - Marangos on Kapparis roundabout, though not cheap. Useful shop nearby that sells most things but we used the supermarket for most stuff as it was cheaper. Sirena Bay nearby was like Mamma Mia - really pretty cafe/bar with painted chairs and tables in shady nooks and crannies by the beach (which barely exists when the tide's in so check first). Will definitely be going to Villa Chloe again because this was what I was looking for. If you want to be in the middle of a buzzy, noisy town then it's not for you but if you want peace and quiet at night, well-maintained, stylish, hassle-free accommodation and great access to excitement when you want it, then it almost certainly is. |

Stayed at Villa Chloe at the end of September. The villa is really lovely and in an ideal place to stay if you are looking for a quieter base just outside Protaras. The pool area is really relaxing and is ideal for children and adults. We travelled with another couple and a small child and found the villa a perfect base. The villa is located around at 15-20 min walk from Protaras centre, and a taxi back is around 7 euros. There are some bars and restaurants within a 5 minute walk aswell for quieter evenings. We also had BBQ's a few evenings and drinks around the pool. I'd definately recommend this villa for a base for people looking for a relaxing holiday with easy access to local bars and restaurants and the beach. |
