The Famagusta District
The Famagusta District, on the island's east coast, was once the main port of Cyprus and a popular resort. After the Turkish invasion the areas of Ayia Napa and Protaras were redeveloped to become one of the largest resort areas on the island with many hotels, shops, tavernas, discos and bars.
There are abundant and varied places to see in Cyprus, evoking the interest of every person from the ages of 2 years to 90 years of age, from the idyllic coastal seashores to the inland archaeological sites where various and truly amazing artifacts can be found to those interested in ancient history.
Protaras / Ayia Triada area
The little church on the rocks edge, and overlooking the lovely marina is a perfect location for the first stroll around this area. The sandy beach just across from the marina, is well liked with locals and tourists, with its gentle waters edge, and golden sand.
A five minute ride by car and you will come to the holiday resort of Pernera offering some pubs, restaurants and many small beaches dotted around the coastline. If you continue on a further 5 minute ride, you will arrive at the bustling town of Protaras, home to the well renowned Fig Tree Bay with its beautiful sandy stretch of beach and crystal aqua blue waters. Here you will find an abundant variety of cuisines, pubs and nightlife to keep you entertained.
A five minute ride in the other direction, will take you into the large and modern municipal town of Paralimni where you can experience a great day out shopping at one of the many boutiques or sipping a frappae' at one of the local cafe's. Paralimni is also where you can do all your grocery shopping at one of the two local supermarkets.
Ayia Napa renowned for its late nightlife of clubs, restaurants and pubs is only a 15 minute drive away.
There are many other places of interest around the area including:
Cape Greco/Cavo Greco National Forest Park Thid unique area has its natural beauty but also offers a wide range of activities such as cycling, riding, climbing, airsports and hiking. There are about 300 plant species in the area. Also observed in the area are foxes, hares and various species of bats, reptiles and butterflies.
Maritime Heritage Centre is in Protaras (Pernera area) it is a collection of Maritime Heritage from around the globe.The centre covers all kinds of points relating to marine life.
The Ocean Aquarium This is an experience for everyone. On a magical journey through rivers, lakes and oceans of the world, you will encounter 400 different species of sea life. Open daily all year round.
How to get there
Fly into Larnaca Airport. Aiya Triada is only 45 minutes away by car. The following websites can be used to book flights.

Further details indoors: A sliding screen has been tastefully fitted between the lounge and dining room. This may be left open to make use of the open-plan arrangement or alternatively can be closed off to self contain the lounge into further accommodation. Within the lounge there is a beautifully upholstered double bed settee as well as 2 singles (great for children). The lounge has a small LCD TV with DVD player and Sky boasting hundreds of English speaking channels for you to peruse at your leisure. There are also patio doors leading from the lounge to the patio area with a large table and chairs and recently fitted stylish pergala to provide some shade on those hot days!
A travel cot is also available at the property as well as some children's inflatables which can be found in the pool store cupboard. Rubber matting can also be found in here which can be laid around the pool area to prevent young children slipping. The whole property is fitted with a modern air conditioning system which may be operated by remote control.
There is also gated off road parking in the event you hire a car.
Close to the property there is a family run restaurant called 'Loukianas' known for miles around for its fish dishes and meze. Perfect for times when you want a break from cooking! Children are always welcome at the restaurant and you can also arrange to have your meal "to take away".
Further details outdoors: Just a short stroll away there is a beautiful sandy cove with sunloungers available. Ideal beach for young children as it gently slopes off into the water with no sudden drops. Also excellent for some snorkelling around the rocks and crevices. Early risers can even purchase fresh catch from the fisherman to take back and have on the barbie!
The outside space of the property has tastefully been divided by small wrought iron gates as a safety feature so that small children cannot access the pool when they are closed. This is therefore an excellent choice for families with young children. There are also 2 stair gates at the property that can be fitted to the stairs if needed.
Around the pool there is an outside shower, large gas barbecue are sunloungers for your use.

Pool is cleaned and maintained all year round. Welcome pack available on request containing basics such as bread and milk etc.

Refundable breakage deposit of £250 payable with the balance, to be refunded 21 working days after departure and subject to a satisfactory property inspection.
