A new privately owned detached air-conditioned villa with access to 3 pools and free sunbeds located on a small 14 villa development in the resort of Pernera Bay Protaras in Cyprus. Only a short 2 minute walk to the pools, bars, restaurants and shops and only 8 minutes walk to a golden sandy beach.

The villa consists of open plan lounge and dining area and separate fully fitted kitchen with granite counter tops. The ground floor also has a toilet and wash basin facility. A marble spiral staircase leads to the first floor where you will find two bedrooms and a luxury family bathroom with shower facilities. The Famagusta District

Cyprus has a pleasant climate with dry summers and mild winters, enjoying about 300 warm and sunny days a year. Spring and Autumn seasons are short with July/August, during the main summer period, being the hottest months. Greek and Turkish are the official languages of the Republic, but English is widely spoken and understood. Cyprus standard time is two hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time and, like the UK, clocks are put forward an additional hour between March and late October.

Cyprus is set into the south easterly basin of the Med. It's the third largest island and the gateway to the east. Even bigger than that, it could quite possibly be the mountainous region of the Lost City of Atlantis, can you imagine that? It's a democratic country, so you can choose to do almost anything you want here, variety is a speciality. It changes from the nightlife of Ayia Napa and dreamlike beaches of Protaras, through cosmopolitan Larnaca, even more so Limassol or inland to the sophisticated Nicosia, the divided capital. On through surreal mountain scenery in Troodos down to Pathos for history in the present, extending up to the Akamas for pure tranquility.

Protaras / Pernera area

Officially part of Protaras and even Paralimni, Pernera is a town unto itself. To find it simply leave Protaras and head towards Paralimni, about a 20 minute walk, turn right and you'll find an abundance of shops, pubs, restaurants supermarkets with everthing under one roof and a few stunning beaches and quaint bays.

Approximately 2km away is Paralimni, probably the fastest growing town in Cyprus. Here you will find a blend of the tradional and not so tradional. Tavernas and cafes are plenty but they are often tucked away so explore the side roads.

Protaras is bigger than it looks stretching from Cape Greco through Green Bay to Protaras town centre and onto the Pernera area, a resort in itself, finishing as far up as Kapparis, again its own little resort.

Ayia Napa, the gateway to the lost city of Atlantis, caters for all ages and tastes. Here you'll find an endless choice of restaurants of every cuisine, tradional pubs, discos for the night owls and themed bars and cafes.

How to get there

There are a number of airlines to choose from and we recommend you search the web for the best price. Travelsupermarket or Travelreublic will give a range of prices from various airlines. www.globespan.com fly out of London Standstead on a Saturday. For other individual airlines try: Thomsonfly.com, Cyprusairways.com, XL.com, Heliosairways.com, Firstchoice.co.uk, Olympicholidays.com. Libra Holidays, Priceright or Olympic Holidays. For road transfer journeys from Pathos Airport add around 60 minutes to the time given from Larnaca Airport.

The villa is decorated and fitted out to a high standard. We have included a number of creature comforts like satellite TV, DVD/video player, and radio/CD player. The dining area has a table and seating for 6. The fully fitted kitchen has an all electric hob, oven and extractor fan. Also included is a refrigerator with freezer compartment, microwave oven and washing machine. The kitchen is fully equipped with cutlery, pots & pans, glasses and crockery, plus (the can't live without) kettle and toaster. Everything to make this a true self catering holiday.
On the ground floor there is also a toilet and wash basin facilities. Upstairs has also been tastefully decorated. There is a luxury family bathroom with shower facility. The bedrooms have fitted floor to ceiling wardrobes and each leads out on to a small balcony. One of the master bedroom wardrobes contains a digital security safe.

Further details outdoors:
Residents will have full use of the adjacent Pantelia Hotel/Apt facilities including 3 pools and free sun beds. The villa has a prime location on a corner plot. There are patio areas and gardens at the front and rear and a private parking area at the side. Just outside the main Pantelia Hotel/Apt entrance is a large supermarket with everything under one roof. The villa is on the edge of Pernera Bay town centre and only a short 2 minute walk to the shops, bars and restaurants. 8 minutes walk will take you to a local golden sandy beach where you can relax on a sun bed, take part in an array of available water sports or take a romantic walk along the breathtaking coastline.

Non-smoking only and no pets allowed.
Rates are inclusive of air-conditioning/central heating.
A 25% (non-refundable) deposit is required to secure the booking with the balance payable 6 weeks prior to arrival.

Additionally a separate security deposit cheque for £100 (refundable) to cover any breakages will be required along with payment of the balance.

There is a 10% discount for the second week of fortnightly rentals (except July/August) For the months of Sept/Oct, with the romantic nature of this beautiful island in mind, we are offering a DISCOUNT of 25% on advertised rates for couples only. Long term winter rentals welcome at reduced rates - contact the owner/advertiser.
Please note: We do not accept bookings for all male or all female parties. The villa is for family accommodation only. We reserve the right to refuse access on arrival in the event that a booking of this nature has been made and not disclosed.

We had really hot weather but found the villa quite cool during the day (although we didn't spend much time inside) and we just needed the air conditioning on low, later in the evenings. We found this very efficient and quiet. It was good having patios on three sides of the villa, which meant we could choose sun or shade to sit in, virtually all day. As mentioned before our holiday, it was good to receive details on just about everything we needed to know, before we got there i.e. how everything works. The villa is in a super location for the beach and we never had to go further than 'up the road and round the corner' to get a good meal. We particularly liked Knight's Pub, where we found lovely food, friendly staff, good service and reasonable prices.

We found everything we needed. We hired a car from the one near the centre, not Doros the other one, they did a really good deal 26 euros plus 15% tax per day for a weekend should have been 33. Just need to barter if they want your business they will do a good deal. We went to CarraFour in Paralimni and stocked up, well worth a visit if your clients hire a car and the store is not hard to find either. Hope to use the villa again and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. Thanks Jackie, David, Harley and Brooke.
