The Famagusta region

The Famagusta District, on the island's east coast, is a fantastic holiday destination with great climate all year around. Within this area there is more than enough to see and do to keep even the most active holiday makers busy for their whole time on this beautiful island.
After the Turkish invasion the areas of Ayia Napa and Protaras were redeveloped to become one of the largest resort areas on the island. The long white sandy beaches around Protaras and Cape Greco are on your step whilst the larger, livelier town of Ayia Napa is only 10 minutes away.
In additional to relaxing by the private pool or on the near by beaches you can enjoy a whole range of activities including the exhilarating slides at the famous water park, catamaran cruises around the cost, scuba diving, snorkelling and walking or cycling along the beautiful coastal pathways.
In recent times the areas around Dherynia and Paralimni have also become important tourism spots with more traditional view of Cyprus with beautiful historic squares and churches, lovely bakeries, caffes and restaurants, even a Marks and Spencer.
The Protaras / Cape Greko area
A guest book containing details of a whole range of local attractions and facilities is available in the villa to help you decide how to spend your holidays.
Cape Greko is a quiet tranquil calm area with good choice of restaurants and bars for those nights that you want to stay close to the villa. Villa JaiNeet is ideal for those that want to escape and relax yet close enough to the larger resorts to benefit from all that they have to offer should you want something more lively.
Walkers can explore the nature trail that follows the shoreline past Cyclops Cave, with breathtaking views all the way down to Konnos Bay, the family oriented beach with café, golden sand, calm crystal clear waters, water sports or just enjoy the romantic cliff top bar view from the near by 5* Gurrican Hotel with spa/gym facilities and an exclusive nightclub.
5 minutes away is Protaras, lively bustling town boasting the picturesque bay, known locally as Fig Tree Bay, with crystal-clear waters, magnificent golden sands and secluded bays. Protaras is a popular resort offering a wide choice of restaurants and bars, and family entertainment options including mini-golf, a sea aquarium and the evening entertainment at Eden Square.
Ayia Napa is situated just 10 minutes drive along the cost, and offers a wide range of options on a larger and livelier scale. For those searching for traditional Cyprus, Paralimni and Deryneia are just 5 minutes drive north of Protaras.
With stunning mountain scenery, a wealth of interesting ancient sites and delicious food and wine you will never be short of things to do: -
1) One might choose horseback riding or perhaps bicycle riding on the bike path, which leads you from near the villa to the other side of the cape.
2) Others might choose aquatic adventures such as scuba diving, snorkelling, windsurfing or just a lovely swim in the sea.
3) Some might choose to just relax and perhaps catch some sneak glimpses of the rare species of birds nesting in and around the park if bird watching is your hobby.
4) At the end of the cape sits a beautiful, small chapel, which can be reached by a 45-minute walk from the villa.
5) Of course, some choose to jog through the many jogging routes available within the park, as this is heaven if jogging is your sport.
6) Shopping is plentiful in both Ayia Napa and Protaras. Both resorts can be reached with an easy 5-minute drive. Public transport which runs by the villa hourly will ensure that you can catch a full day in the great variety of shops found in either of the two resorts.
7) In the summer months, from March through November, over 600 restaurants, bars and nightclubs operate throughout the evening offering something for everyone. Restaurants vary from small village taverns to elegant fine dining restaurants.
Some places of interest to Visit: -
1) Pottery workshops exist within easy reach from the villa
2) Paralimni, the nearest town to the villa, has the twin aisled vaulted church, dedicated to Virgin Mary and is decorated with unusual 18th century porcelain plates. Many more small interesting churches can be seen around Paralimni.
3) Ayia Napa offers its visitors a view of the 16th century church partially underground, cut into the rock.
4) The village of Dherynia has three interesting churches featuring excellent icons dating back to the 15th century. The view from the village includes the "ghost" city of Famagusta, now under occupation by the Turkish army.
5) Sotira, is once again a small village, with two very interesting churches.
6) Liopetri is a village famous for its basket making techniques. Today the tradition continues and visitors to the village have the opportunity to see how cane baskets are constructed.
7) Located on the outskirts of Ayia Napa is the famous Waterworld Waterpark. Experience the thrill of a lifetime on their many slides and mountains.
8) Take a relaxing ride on horseback. The Moonshine Ranch, located across from the Grecian Park, will lead you through the National Park.
9) Take a ride on a glass bottom boat or experience the pleasure of sailing on a yacht. You will also have the opportunity to view the ghost town of Famagusta.
10) The uniqueness of the National Forest Park area is not only due to its natural beauty but also to the fact that it offers a wide range of interests such as swimming, diving, towed parachute, fishing, rowing, cycling, riding, climbing, airsports and hiking.
Other ideas of interest for the surrounding that can be arranged locally or at the Grecian Park hotel include Village Surprise visits, Ayia Napa trips, Horseback Riding, Deep Sea Fishing, Jeep Safari and Cyprus nights.

Guestbook for Villa JaiNeet
We really liked your house as its location suited us since we only visit the Konnos bay which is one of the best beaches in the area. There are many houses for rent but we are sure that if you continue to keep the house in good condition you will have many repeaters. Maria Georgiou, July 2011
We had a wonderful holiday and your villa was lovely. It was in a nice quiet position and just what we needed for a relaxing holiday. The pool was a big hit with the children and was of such a good size that we could all to enjoy it. We would highly recommend the villa to our friends and family and if we do go to Cyprus again we would definitely book with you. Jackie Bracegirdle, Aug 11.
I have to say that all of us had honestly passed grade days in xenia villa. Our expectations were absolutely fulfilled. It is in very good condition with plenty of room inside and outside and excellent position. I recommend this villa as value for money letting. Nikolas Koulouris, Aug 11.
