About the home

The ground floor is open plan and consists of a modern fully equipped kitchen, a dining area and a guest WC with vanity unit and basin. Two steps lead down to a large lounge with comfortable seating for 9 people, two coffee tables, a standard lamp, feature log burning fireplace and for your entertainment there is a flat screen TV with Satelite channels, DVD player and a stereo system. The property benefits from Internet access and there are stunning sea views from the lounge. 3 ensuite bedrooms are situated on the upper floor. From the 2nd Bedroom there is a door which gives access to stairs that lead up to the roof-top sun deck. A further two bedrooms and a bathroom are situated in the basement.

Outside to the rear of the property and facing the sea there is a patio (equipped with a patio table and 8 matching chairs) which leads onto a large expanse expanse of lawn that runs down to a walkway by the sea. To the side of the villa there is a private infinity swimming pool equipped with sun loungers and parasols. In the BBQ area there is a sink and storage cupboards.

A 20% non refundable deposit is required to secure a booking. The balance is payable in full 8 weeks prior to your arrival in Cyprus.

Payment by Bank Transfer

A refundable damage deposit of 350 euro is payable in cash on arrival.

A welcome pack consisting of tea, coffee, milk, sugar, drinking water and a bottle of wine will be supplied with our compliments. Should you wish us to purchase further provisions on your behalf for your immediate use please contact us.

Car Hire is recommended.

Airport transfers and car hire can be arranged at preferential rates.

The Famagusta region

The Famagusta District, on the islands east coast, was once the main port of Cyprus and a popular resort. After the Turkish invasion in 1974 the areas of Ayia Napa and Protaras were redeveloped to become one of the largest resort areas on the island with many hotels, tavernas, discos and bars. The area includes some of the finest beaches in Cyprus as well as Cape Greco and the administrative centre , Paralimni.

Protaras, with Fig Tree Bay at its heart is famous for its white sandy beaches and sparkling blue waters. It is the main beach resort. Looked over by green rolling hills you can find rugged cliffs standing high over small sandy coves and local fish tavernas serving fresh fish whilst you take in the wonderful scenery.

Ayia Napa is a bustling resort that has recovered its reputation as a great family resort with plenty of activities and entertainments for the whole family. Nissi beach is perhaps the most famous of the many sandy beaches in the area. Pay a visit to the old monastery and the local museum. The harbour has some excellent fish restaurants. If your passion is to dance the night away, then you will be spoiled for choice from the many lively bars and nightclubs. The Water Park is said to be one of the largest in Europe.

The Cypriot people are naturally very friendly, welcoming and helpful. They have a strong tradition for family life so children are made to feel welcome in most restaurants. English is spoken by most Cypriots.

The Protaras / Pernera area

Located on the outskirts of the popular resort of Protaras, Pernera attracts families and couples looking for quiet relaxing holidays. Just a 6 minute drive to Protaras and less than an hours drive to Larnaca, this lovely beach resort has the most quiet, uncrowded beach in the area, complete with a good choice of beach-front restaurants.

Pernera itself has a good selection of restaurants, cafes, bars and shops. Pernera beach is one of the nicest sandy beaches on the eastern coast of Cyprus. All of the beaches around Protaras have fine sandy beaches with calm clear blue waters which make them an excellent choice for families with young children.

Pernera has its own dive centre which offers everything from dives for beginners and fish feeding dives to dives to the Zenobia wreck which is one of the world’s top diving wrecks. Whilst diving here you will encounter reefs, caves and no end of fascinating marine life including parrot fish, rays, sea bass, groupers and eels.

The area around Perera is great for walks to explore the surrounding sights. Walking to the west of Pernera you will reach Fig Tree Bay beach and Flamingo beach. To the north there are small secluded coves just waiting to be discovered. The whole family will enjoy exploring the beautiful unspoilt coastline around the headland at Cape Greko to the south of Pernera. There is an excellent scenic coastal path from Protaras to Ayia Napa beach which takes you past ancient ruins and sea caves.

When the children want a break from the beautiful beaches there is a local waterpark and also Water World at Ayia Napa, the largest themed water park in Europe. A mix of Ancient Greece and modern rides, the Ayia Napa waterpark is a must for the kids and adults alike

Direct flights to Cyprus are available from a number of UK airports with additional budget airlines adding routes from March 2009.

Whilst Cyprus has two international airports with Paphos to the west of the island, Larnaca is the airport of choice when visiting the Famagusta area. It is a 40 minute drive from the airport to the villa.

Regular schedule flights to Larnaca are operated by British Airways and Cyprus Airways.

Hiring a car is recommended (preferably one with air conditioning), if you wish to tour the island and sample all that it has to offer. Oh and there is no need to worry, we will provide you with a map and clear directions from the airport. Remember too that they drive on the left the same as in the UK and that road signs are also in English.

Alternatively we can arrange airport transfers and car hire at preferential rates.
