The centre of Protaras is approximately 2 kilometres away and its here right at the heart of the strip where you will find the most well known beach in the area, Fig Tree Bay. With its clear and shallow turquoise sea and fine golden sand, this beach understandably appeals to both visitors and locals alike. Moving away from the main resorts you will discover the delights of picturesque Konnos Bay, the rocky coastline of Cape Greco or quieter more remote swimming spots in the outlying suburbs of Sirena Bay, Ayia Triada and Kapparis. By day Protaras is a sleepy beach resort, coming alive after dark and offering a wide range of friendly restaurants, cosy tavernas, bars and shopping opportunities to suit the whole family.

Ayia Napa (approximately 9 kilometres away) once a small fishing village was more recently promoted as a clubbers paradise with a varied and vibrant nightlife concentrated in the towns central square. Families are rediscovering the delights of the resort by steering away from the square and spending days on the beautiful blue flag beaches and mellow evenings strolling the pedestrianised harbour area and dining at one its selection of cafes and restaurants.

Take a break from the beaches and occupy your time by exploring the surrounding villages sprinkled with windmills and small churches. Dominating the Protaras area on a solitary rock outcrop is the chapel of the Prophet Elias. A climb of many steps is needed to reach the top of the hill, but worth it as you will be rewarded with an amazing view of the Protaras coastline. As the nearest town to the now deserted settlement of Famagusta, Deryneia is possibly best known for its view of the ghost town, which, once a major tourist resort, now lies empty.

Family activities in the area include the magic dancing water show with its spectacular 12 metre high fountains “dancing” to Mozart, Beethoven, Bach and Greek music and an Ocean Aquarium which boasts more than 400 different species with the main attraction being the penguin house. Ayia Napa boasts the biggest themed waterpark in Europe with exhilarating rides providing fun and entertainment for all age groups.

Outdoor activities in the area include mini golf, water-sports, go-karting, horse riding and hiking or cycling along the network of nature trails and specialist cycle paths through the Cape Greco National Park.

The air-conditioned lobby leads into an elegant lounge/dining area, furnished with a large table and chairs, matching sofas and armchairs, equipped with a satellite TV and DVD player.

The kitchen area is fully fitted with all modern appliances and there is a wide range of kitchen utensils catering for most culinary needs.

Outside enjoy the spacious landscape garden and the pool is 30ftx13ft with plenty of sun lounges and is a great place to cool off. The villa also has private off road parking.

This villa is only a stone’s throw from the beach and there are 3 other beaches within 5 minutes walking distance and you can sample the variety of unique sandy beaches only this part of the island can offer.

Kapparis - Famagusta is a great family choice, well known for its stunning beaches. You are in a great location with plenty to do close by. Kapparis itself is home to some of the top restaurants on the island all within walking distance of your house. Less than 8 minutes drive you have the family resort of Protaras with the amazing Fig Tree Bay beach. 15 minutes takes you to the lively resort of Agia Napa with its Water Park and hectic night life, there really is something for everyone.

The Famagusta region

Situated within a very upscale development project within walking distance to one of the best children friendly sandy beaches in Cyprus, and to Protaras main nightlife area. 200m from a picturesque, rocky bay, perfect for snorkelling, fishing or 'crabbing'! Just a 1 minute walk from the famous Fig Tree Bay (definitely one of the best beaches in Cyprus), a beautiful sandy beach where the sea is crystal clear and shallow enough for kids of all ages to enjoy. Here you can find plenty of water sports including water-skiing, banana boat rides, wakeboarding, paragliding, jet skis. speedboats for hire, etc.

The Protaras / Central Protaras area

The location of this villa is superb because everything is within walking distance and if you plan to stay in Protaras, you will never need to use a car. The only exception to this is if you want to do a lot of food shopping (the cheapest supermarket is in Paralimni). The majority of bars, restaurants, shops, etc are just a short 5-minute walk away from the villa.The main strip in Protaras is about a 5-minute walk from the villa with all its nightlife, entertainment and excellent restaurants, bars and shops. Ayia Napa, with its white, sandy beaches, water park and clubs is about a 10-minute drive away. The traditional small town of Paralimni is a 10-minute drive away.
