Sunset apartment is luxuriously furnished and offers open-plan spacious living accommodation throughout. The living room opens into a spacious terrace / balcony which offers a stunning sundowner, furnished with a table and chairs to enable you to dine al fresco, and more generally spend time in the wonderful Cypriot outdoors. As it is an easily accessible ground floor apartment, it comes perfect for couples and families alike, plus the elderly or infirm. We can recommend a local supplier who can affordably rent out travel cots, highchairs, buggies for infants and all manner of extra modern conveniences.
Sunset comfortably sleeps six (Master bed, Twin Bed and Double Sofa bed), and is tucked away in the quiet Mythical Sands resort, but a pedestrian path takes you to Kapparis' Kennedy Avenue in under two minutes. Just 300m away is Firemans Beach with its crystal clear blue waters and sandy beaches. The apartment offers an ideal base for a fabulous holiday with attractions and beaches right on your doorstep, but joyfully free of the endless hassle and bustle if you stayed too close to Protaras or Ayia Napa.

The Famagusta District
Mythical Sands Resort is located on the Protaras coastline in the heart of the beautiful year-round resort of Kapparis, close to the local town of Paralimni, which is the main commercial centre of the Famagusta District and only three kilometers from the centre of the popular sun-kissed resort of Protaras.
You can find every possible type of food - Chinese, French, Italian, Greek, American, English, Mexican and, of course, traditional Cypriot cuisine just a short drive away. Famagusta offers exceptional night life with 100's
(if not 1000's) of pubs and clubs to choose from. Families can choose between several day-out options including water parks, beaches, mini golf, zoos, a trip to the North, boating, viewing ruins, aquariums and much more.
Next door to Kapparis is Agia Triada and the Famagusta District Sailing Club with catamarans, lasers and windsurfing. Further water sports are available across the coastal path - parasols, jet-skis, scuba diving, catamaran cruises, snorkeling. Or you can cycle or walk along the beach - if you have the time, all the way to Ayia Napa via Cape Greco. The neighbouring Moonshine Ranch offers horse riding. The beaches are beautiful and clean.
Protaras is a very cosmopolitan and family-friendly resort famous across the island and internationally renowned for having the finest beaches in Cyprus. The Protaras coastline stretches for sixteen kilometers offering countless sandy beaches and secluded sandy bays to discover.
Protaras hosts the famous Magic Dancing waters, live music shows, and the Fig Tree Bay offers many activities, water sports, mini golf, and a sea aquarium. We particularly loved Protaras by night when families seem to flock the streets in carnival mood, mingling freely as they snake their way and sample the late night shops, restaurants and tarvenas that occupy the long thoroughfare - adding to the quentissential Protaras flavour.
If you instead prefer to indulge in some raucous nightlife, head towards the famous hedonistic resort of Ayia Napa, just a few miles further down the coast line. Ayia Napa is home to almost every sort of bar and club you could imagine, from the wild garage clubs to traditional tavernas where folk dancing flourishes. By day, Ayia Napa's Water World Park - which is one of the biggest water parks in the world - is a must with plenty of fun and activity for children and adults alike. The exuberant cosmopolitan resort of Ayia Napa offers enticing alternative tropical beaches, contemporary bars, exquisite dining, fishing harbour, museums, 16th century Monastery and other historical places of interest.
Nissi beach at the nearby Ayia Thekla is the most beatiful beach of all, and due to its length and proximity to Ayia Napa, the most popular, so you will need to head there early to secure sun lounges and umbrella.
Paralimni, the District's shoppers paradise, provides 3 large supermarkets, and a beautiful main square with superb water fountains so you can sit and watch the world go by knocking back cocktails at one of the chic and trendy bars that are hugely popular with the locals and tourists especially as the sun sets. Paralimni is a great mix of old and new and ideal for an early evening drink and meal out. The family Kebab House does not disappoint with their local dishes 'Stefado', or Kleftico. 3 churches and an amphitheatre are to be found providing historic interest. The town also offers a post office and is the main local banking area.
Unlike Protaras and Penera which become ghost towns in the winter months, Kapparis is a year round resort and with the guaranteed year round Cyprus sunshine, this can only be termed a haven. Its main thoroughfare, Kennedy Avenue, offers excellent restaurants, and cocktail bars (many with fast free wi-fi access), bars, bakery, supermarkets, and internet cafe. All between a 3 to 5 minute walk away. Restaurants cater for all discerning tastes, from authentic Greek, through Chinese, to Italian; there are also some English pubs, and Greek tavernas.
Today, Kapparis continues to maintain a very friendly, relaxed laid back atmosphere that has attracted and captured many hearts to return year-after-year. Whether a short-term or permanent resident you will experience and discover inner peace, comfort and happiness from the resort.
Exploring the coastal footpath from Kapparis you will discover many private and secluded sandy coves, fishing shelters, marinas, Churches and places of natural beauty and of course the impressive crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean stretching panoramically before you into the horizon.
