About the home

Villa Estivale is nestled in 3 hectares of grounds, a traditionally-build stone house it blends perfectly into the Corsican ´maquis´ with unbroken views over the bay whilst maintaining its complete privacy.

To the front of the villa is a superb south-facing wooden terrace, it has a covered area furnished with dining table and chairs for lovely al fresco meals along with other garden lounge furniture including sofas and sun beds. Guests will certainly enjoy making use of the barbecue, traditional pizza oven and herb garden too. Of course a villa wouldn´t be complete without a private pool and Villa Estivale´s is particularly beautiful, with a stone border and wooden decking for basking in the sunshine.

Below, a narrow shady path winds its way through the property´s grounds down to sandy creeks, your own direct access to the sea.

The villa also affords shaded parking.

Villa Estivale is an excellent choice for your holiday accommodation- ideal for anyone: active and outdoors types, those interested in seeing the cultural and historical sites in the area and those whose idea of the perfect break is spent doing nothing just relaxing and soaking up the sun.

The house itself is much more than a simple holiday villa. Decorated in a southern style it offers a relaxed way of living and an effortless blend of charm, comfort and modernity.
The stylish design consists of exposed and natural materials (wood, stone, and terracotta) and all modern comforts, attention having been paid to the smallest details.

The kitchen-dining room is lovely and light, divided by a simple archway, and boasts all the latest in cooking facilities including a large gas hob with electric oven, toaster, fridge, freezer, coffee-maker etc. This room leads onto the comfortable living room with flat screen satellite television and DVD player, and which has direct access on to the sunny terrace. There is also a utility room and a vacuum cleaner.

Three bedrooms offer the choice between a king-size bed and two singles, each has a large antique wardrobe or dressing room and an en suite bathroom with luxurious walk-in shower and separate WC.

To the left of the main villa is another small building or ´caseddu´ as it would be called in Corsica. This can accommodate an additional one or two guests with a double bed and fabulous outdoor shower.

Other facilities/services at guests´ disposal are: internet access, cot and high chair, safe, security alarm, bed linen, bath and beach towels, twice-weekly cleaning and the possibility of massages and a personal trainer.

The Corsica region

The attractive town of Propriano with its marina and commercial harbour is just a ten minute drive along the coastline from the villa.

There are numerous other places to visit in the area: thermal springs close by, vineyards and cellars boasting excellent wines, mountains and forests for hiking, the picturesque village of Sartène, "the most Corsican village of Corsica, " a whole array of sporting activities including sailing, canoeing, horse-riding, and much more…

The Propriano / Olmeto area

Villa Estivale is found in an area of Southern Corsica that has preserved its wild side. Simplicity reigns but refinement certainly has its place.

Just a stone´s throw from the sea the villa is located on the edge of a gulf where there are a succession of white sandy beaches each one seemingly more beautiful than the last, romantic creeks, black, white and pink granite, well-preserved nature spots and a few little hillside villages.
