Home description

The self catering first floor accommodation is part of an old farmhouse, set in a historical rural community. Perfect for families or those who wish to get away from the masses.Sleeps four but can accommodate six people (sofa bed). The house is powered ENTIRELY by the latest solar technology, and our ethos is low impact sustainable living.

The accommodation overlooks a beautiful village with stunning views and breathtaking sunsets. Visitors to La Vista Mola can enjoy the peace and nature or explore the many cultural, historical, gastronomic attractions of the region.

The Costa Dorada/Tarragona region

The property is situated near the unspoilt coastline of the Costa Dorada in Catalonia, North Eastern Spain.

The finca is nestled in spectacular mountains (Serra de Llaveria) within the prestigious wine growing region of The Priorat. It's also a large olive, cherry, almond and hazel producing region.

The property overlooks the pretty village of La torre De Fontaubella, population 100, where there is a friendly bar and a small shop.

The local area is infused with history and culture from the romanesque castle at the ancient riverside village of Miravet, the roman ampitheatre and artifacts in Tarragona, to the medieval splendor of the mountain top villiage of Siurana.

Encounter authentic rural Spain from bustling markets to colourful fiestas and high quality reasonably priced restaurants.

The RACC Catalunya Rally is held annually in October, it passes directly by our house, this is ideal for rally enthusiasts.


Priorat / Falset area

Nearby Falset (8km) hosts a range of reasonably priced good restaurants, supermarkets, banks, bars with a weekly market on a Tuesday.

Marca (5km) has 2 restaurants, a swimming pool, a couple of bars, a bakery and general stores and a market held on Thursdays.

La Torre (500m) has a bar where Tapas is served, local shop, picnic and BBQ area.

The kitchen/ dining area is the best feature, it's very large, light and is joined in an open plan design to the living room. Thoughtfully renovated with authentic wooden flooring.

All cooking facilities are provided and you can sit and dine whilst gazing out over yet another stunning sunset.

Bedroom 1 is a large double with dual aspect views over the mountain with authentic wooden flooring.
Bedroom 2 currently has 2 single beds (can be changed to a double with prior notice),wooden flooring.

For people with babies, we can provide; beddingand blankets, babt bath, towels, tuperware and toys.

Partially shaded terrace with seating/ dining area overlooking the garden with breathtaking mountain views.

Sun lovers can while away the day in the pool or on a sun lounger or hammock, read or sup a cocktail whilst absorbing the scenic views.
There is a pool 5metres squared, perfect for cooling off. Also there's shaded pergola area next to the pool with a table and chairs.

For a small fee meals can be provided with prior notice.
Out of high season Bed and breakfast costs 25euros per person. Breakfast consists of a range of cereals, croissants/toast, juice and tea or coffee.

Weeks usually run Saturday to Saturday during the high season, with more flexibility at other times of the year.


Conditions

The ground is un level because of it's location. People with restricted mobility must have walking aids or be supervised.
The swimming pool is used by guests at their own risk. Parents must take full responsibility when supervising their children in the pool.

A deposit of ?75 or ?100 is payable by cheque to secure the booking, the remaining balance if it hasn't already been paid, should be paid in full at the latest one month prior to your visit.

We also require a refundable security deposit of ?75 or 100 euros, which will be returned to you at the end of your stay. Both payments are requested to secure your booking.

We accept payments by cheque or bank transfer.
