About the home
Casita Molino consists of a one bedroom cottage with private pool/deck and mosaic dining bbq area. Surrounded by vineyards and olive groves with views of the valleys and foot hills of the Montsant mountain range.
It is perfect for couples or a small family (pull out sofa bed in lounge) and has been thoughtfully modernised without losing it's rural charm. The cottage is fully equipped for your self catering holiday including bedlinen, bath towels and welcome pack. All of the power generated is from a state of the art solar system and windmill (molino) and we have our own water supply from two wells so we have a fresh water pool.
Rural but not remote the cottage is 1.5 km from the town of Falset which has a good selection of shops,bars and restaurants serving excellent local cuisine and fine wines from the region. Perfect romantic getaway or for those who enjoy walking/hiking , climbing or biking with the Montsant mountain range on our doorstep and the beautiful beaches of the Costa Dorada within 35km of here, there is something for everyone.

Gas mobile heater and log burning fire for winter guests and a stand up fan for our summer guests.
We also have fast ADSL connection if you bring your laptop and have a wireless function.

Private and rural with olive/almond and hazelnut groves and a selection of fruit trees (feel free to pick and eat).
Outside terrace under the 30 year old grape vines with built in BBQ and original mosaic seating area next to the illuminated private pool and sun lounging deck with outdoor furniture and umbrella.
Private secure parking.
The swimming pool is 5 x 5 mtrs and has an all over depth off 1.5 mtrs so we do not have a shallow end, so please supervise children at all times.

We provide a welcome pack on your arrival.
The swimming pool is cleaned and ready to use from May to October.
We have 3 acres of land with 2 houses on it, one being our home and the other the guest cottage.
Please feel free to wander and explore, but the guest cottage does have its own private pool/deck and outdoor dining area with BBQ.
We are very discreet but on hand to answer questions or give any helpful suggestions to make your holiday stay more memorable.
Conditions
DEPOSIT
We kindly ask for a 25% deposit (non-refundable) at the time of booking, unless the booking is made within 6 weeks of the start date of the rental then full payment is required immediately.
BALANCE
We ask for the balance to be paid 6 weeks before the arrival date, unless we have received a written confirmation or email of cancellation from you.
SECURITY DEPOSIT
We ask for a separate cheque of £100, at the time the full balance is paid. This will be returned to you directly after your holiday providing the cottage is free from damage.
We advise all customers to arrange a comprehensive travel insurance policy and to have full cover for all your personal belongings and public liability etc, as these are not covered by the owners insurance.

Share videoThe Costa Dorada/Tarragona region
The Priorat region which is located in Southern Catalonia has something to offer everyone for all seasons.
If you enjoy the great outdoors then we are surrounded by the Montsant mountain range offering walking,hiking biking and the world famous rock climbing in Siurana, we are also only 2 hrs from the nearest ski area.
15 mins away is the mighty river Ebre where the largest catfish have been caught and organized fishing excursions can be arranged.
30 mins by car we have the fantastic blue flag beaches of the Costa Daurada with the lively resort of Salou and Europe's largest theme park Port Aventura and a water park.
Cambrils has a lovely marina where you can take boat rides out on the clear blue seas and go dolphin watching or try some tasty sea food at many of the restaurants.
If your after a city experience Tarragona is a short 40min drive away with its beautiful cathedral and Roman amphitheatre and artifacts or 90mins drive is the outstanding city of Barcelona with many fantastic artdeco buildings especially Antonio Gaudi and his fantastic mosaics, the food and the shopping is something not to be missed either.
Both these cities can be visited by our local train service from Falset very inexpensive and no nightmare parking or getting lost.
The Priorat area
Falset is known as the gateway to the Priorat, the region has recently become famous for its wine and olive oil.
The town is a 15 min walk (or 2 mins by car) from the cottage and has all the amenities for a small but lively town.
Every Tuesday there is a small market in the main square selling the freshest produce. `Falset has a very good selection of bars and restaurants serving excellent local cuisine and fine wines.
The town has several fiestas throughout the year, but our favourites have to be the Wine fair at the end of April/May and the traditional town fiesta in Mid August with many processions and firework displays not to be missed.
There are many bodegas where you can learn about the wine making process and best of all get to try the wines of the region hic....

Reus is the local airport and is only a 25 min drive from Casita Molino.
The low cost airline Ryanair have daily flights to Reus from Stansted, Luton, Dublin, Glasgow and Liverpool.
During busy summer months many more airlines fly to Reus , Thomsonfly, Monarch, First Choice and MyTravel.
Easy Jet fly to Barcelona from many locations and takes 1 1/2 hours by car or there is also a very good train service www.renfe.es which comes directly to Falset for approx €8.50 .
We generally advise that car hire is essential if you wish to explore the wonderful area and all the local attractions that are on offer.
Car hire is available at all the airports which you can book through Ryanair or other reputable car hire companies.

Min 2 nights (excluding July/August) £70 per night
During the peak season July and August we ask that the booking be a min of one week, and that check in arrival is after 2pm and checkout leaving time by 10am (unless agreed with the owners that another time is better suited).
The rest of the year letting may be flexible with an agreement of a min 2 night stay.
We ask in the winter months Nov-Mar a fuel charge for the firewood of 25 euros's per week paid in cash when you arrive ( you can use as much as you need) .
The rates shown above are for the cottage and NOT per person.
Includes all gas, electricity and water, bed linen and bath towels, also private use of the pool/deck and bbq area.
