Nutmeg Bay is a large modern house, painted canary yellow and has quite a grand feel. Two wings sit either side of a central atrium and raised roof, with classical columns, stepped keystones at the corners, carriage lanterns and criss-cross balustrades.

Nutmeg Bay's five bedrooms (three kings and two twins) are in the main house, all with splendid ensuite bathrooms, sleeping up to 10 people in absolute comfort. In addition, an adjacent, self-contained cottage provides a sixth bedroom, if required. Although the oceanfront setting ensures a near-constant trade wind breeze, all the bedrooms are air conditioned for additional comfort and open directly onto the fabulous south-facing sun and pool terrace, with its beautiful wooden furniture and superb infinity edge pool.

The large and amazingly well-equipped kitchen makes for easy catering. The kitchen in the villa is modern and spacious.

The fully-fitted kitchen has a large cooker (2 timed ovens, grill, 5 hobs and hotplate), fridge/freezer, large drinks chiller, icemaker, coffee machine, kettle, microwave and toaster. All drinking water is filtered and there is a small breakfast bar.

The family-size dining room is framed by two sets of huge windows that give you the irresistible garden view of the property. With permanent seats for 10, you can add seats from the outside table to seat up to 14 people - ideal for your dinner party. The dining room is adjacent to the kitchen. Alternatively - head outside to the outdoor dining Gazebo, also perfect to seat 10!

The lounge area has patio doors which open directly onto the terrace and pool deck area. The lounge is adjacent to the dining room and also houses a television, DVD player and is best for your wifi signal.

The Saint George region

Grenada is a very special island. Tropical climates, but off the well-trodden Caribbean path. Unspoilt and not over-developed, yet remarkably refined. It abounds with unique vegetation, flowers, fruits and spices. Nutmeg Bay Villa rests at the apex of a small south-facing bay into which all sorts of wildlife venture. Over the last few years pelicans circle, diving dramatically from great height into the crystal clear blue water for fish. The beaches on the island are fabulous and not crowded, the rainforests are havens of nature and make for great trekking, the waterfalls are fun, the stores are good, the roads are smooth (by Caribbean standards!), the restaurants are varied and excellent. The people are warm, gracious and welcoming.

There is an enormous amount to occupy your time on Grenada, other than the pleasure of using the beautiful beaches and swimming in the azure-blue sea.

There's exploring the tropical rainforest with it's amazing variety of flowers, vegetation, fruits, streams and waterfalls. Mingle with ancient ruins and even visit the rum distillery, built in the mid-1700's and still working the same way today - all powered by a simple stream.

Off-shore fishing, sailing, diving and snorkelling are available. Or take-on the challenge of the local market and sample the chilli pepper sauce on a home made 'rotie' - just like a soft baked pasty - but better!

Grenada is one of the safest and friendliest islands you can find.
