About the home

This luxury villa which comes inclusive of daily spa treatments and the exclusive use of a 43' skippered powerboat, faces south west and enjoys panoramic views over Prickly Bay and out to the Caribbean Sea on the south west of the island.

Windward is one of the four 5 bedroom houses on this brand new contemporary development that has only recently been completed. This spacious property, which looks out over Prickly Bay has an internal passenger lift and is laid out over 4 floors with a large roof terrace.

You will be greeted on arrival at the airport and driven to the villa where a welcome drink awaits. Keys to the villa are not required for your stay as entry to the villa is controlled through finger print recognition, so lost keys will not be a worry.

Facilities

On the ground floor is a wide and imposing hallway, a powder room, a fully fitted and equipped Miele kitchen with a laundry room adjacent to that with a walk in chilled room. There is a large and bright reception room with large doors that open out on to the terrace and the pool lawn.

On the first floor is the mezzanine dining area with its glass floor and a carbon fibre spiral staircase that leads back down to the reception room below. Two bedrooms are also situated on the first floor one double room with en-suite shower and also one double bedroom with an en-suite bath and shower room. The bed in this bedroom is able to be split into two separate singles if required. Both of the bedrooms have 6ft king size beds, mirrored fronted fitted wardrobes and have doors out onto a balcony.

On the second floor is the spacious master bedroom with its en-suite bath and shower room and its own balcony. This master suite also has two 2 seater sofas and magnificent views out across the bay. There are two further bedrooms on this floor that are identical in size to those on the floor below.

Two of the double bedrooms are able to be split into twin beds.

The roof terrace is on the third floor and gives magnificent views out over Prickly Bay. The facilities include a Jacuzzi spa tub, a gas BBQ, dining table and chairs for 10 people, one double and two single sunbathing day beds, sun umbrellas and sofas. There is also another powder room on this floor with access to a roof storage area.

The spa treatment room with its own shower and wc, is accessed from the roof terrace and is fully equipped and fitted out with a massage table, basalt stones and heater and a wide selection of natural oils.

The Saint George region

Windward is located at Prickly Bay Waterside in the popular L'Ance Aux Epines area on the south corner of the island. It is a short distance from the famous Grand Anse Beach with it's good restaurants, lively bars and St George the capital of Grenada is only 15 minutes away by either car or bus.

The Prickly Bay area

There are many beaches within 5 minutes drive and a PADI diving centre is located nearby and if you are adventurous there is plenty of dramatic unspoilt scenery and even a recently discovered waterfal to explore in the lush tropical rainforest in the centre of the island.

There are regular direct flights from the UK, scheduled with both British Airways and Virgin Atlantic and charter with Monarch.

You will be greeted at The Maurice Bishop International Airport and driven to the villa. The return journey at the end of your stay is also complimentary as well.

A rental car can be delivered to the villa or collected from the airport if you prefer.

“Lovely house, fabulous location on a gorgeous island!” We have visited several Caribbean islands but Grenada is a true gem! A beautiful island with stunning natural scenery; superb beaches; glorious swimming; snorkelling and diving. Visit the interior of the island to see rainforest, lake in the volcanic crater, wonderful flora and fauna. All of this without the mass of tourists experienced on other islands. We found a good selection of restaurants both rustic local food and sophisticated dining.- highly recommend The Beach House. Our daughter completed her Padi Divemaster with Devotion2Ocean and the diving on offer is some of the best in the Caribbean. So many dives, she can't wait to return! The island people are extremely friendly and helpful so we felt totally relaxed and happy to go anywhere on the island. We were an extended family with complicated travel arrangements that the owner was happy to accommodate. Windward is a stylish, spacious and well equipped Town House in a convenient location, close to all the local amenities yet a most beautiful and scenic bay. The Owner's skippered power boat was a real treat enjoyed by us all - recommend a visit to the Marine Park and a day trip to White Island to experience your very own desert island! The skipper and his wife catered for our every need. A truly relaxing Caribbean holiday with all the trimmings!

“We were extremely fortunate to stay in this beautiful and superbly appointed property, and on the water-front too!” We arrived to discover a very luxurious property that appeared almost brand new inside and out. Every detail and comfort seemed to have been covered with all rooms en-suite and bed linen and towels were of the highest quality. We immediately plunged into the pool outside, beside the water-front, which is great for doing lengths aswell as for a quick dip. On the first evening the lively Tiki bar right next door provided us with plenty to eat and drink. We suggest you are brave and go beyond the beautiful Grand Anse beach and try BBC beach and maybe others further to the East of Prickly Bay. We loved them and you won't find any of them remotely crowded. The Umbrella Bar on Grand Anse beach is definitely worth a 'sundowner or three'. Dive Grenada provided us with some moderate dives and then one brilliant dive over a small wreck of an inter-island transport boat. Advanced Divers would enjoy even better wreck dives down to 30 metres. If you rent this property with use of the Cabin Cruiser boat, then do take advantage of it. Great fun - and even better if you remember to take your chilled Duty-Free Champagne and/or Westerhall Rum and Ginger Ale with you! The Roof Top BBQ area in the property should be put to the test and if you find a pair of lost bikini bottoms in the hot tub, just throw them away. (Only joking.) If you do get a rain shower the TV and stereo systems are top-notch, but I bet you spend 90% of your time out of doors during both the day and the evenings as we never once needed anything more than a shirt and shorts/light trousers. Remember the mosquito spray when you are outdoors in the evening, you don't tend to notice them - so they are not really a bother, but you can get some bites which you only notice the next day. We'll rent the same property again. We did subtly check-out the adjoining properties but from what we could see they weren't a patch on this one. Can't wait to go back!

“Absolutely fabulous in every way” I travelled to Grenada and stayed at windward prickly bay in January 2012 with friends and had an amazing holiday. Windward is five star luxury. Five bedrooms all en suite. Fabulous sun deck with jacuzzi, sunbeds, BBQ etc on roof overlooking the marina. Excellently equipped to a very high standard. Wonderful Olympic length infinity pool! Great location. We adored Grenada and can't wait to return. Would thoroughly recommend windward prickly bay.

The rates above are for the whole villa per week and are fully inclusive of all the villas facilities. They are payable in US$ or alternatively £GB at current exchange rates.

The minimum stay is 7 nights, additional nights are charged on a pro rata nightly basis.

Rental weeks that include either Christmas or New Year are charged out at US$12,500 per week irrespective of the number of people.

A reservation deposit of 25% is required to secure the villa for your selected weeks

The balance of the total amount due is payable 35 days prior to your arrival date and is non refundable.

A fee of 10% of the full booking cost will be deducted if a cancellation is made prior to 16 weeks before guest arrival, after that the full 25% deposit will be forfeited.

We do recommend that guests take out their own travel insurance to safeguard any possible loss of reservation deposit and flight costs if they have to make any unforeseen cancellation of a booking.
