The Powys region
Radnorshire has a landscape developed since time lost with more castles and ancient monuments per square mile than any other area of the UK. Rolling hills and verdant valleys full of fast flowing rivers renowned for the great fishing. Cycle routes abound. Famous Offas Dyke footpath and many more wonderful walking routes around the area. Shooting, Rally Driving, Horse riding and much more for the energetic. Beautiful gardens and stately homes to visit. Plenty of things to do for all ages and all temperaments.
Radnorshire is still an undiscoverd gem nesting in the hills beside the border with England.
Presteigne is a charming town with a vibrant cultural scene. Steeped in history. Quiet but well provided with a traditional High street with restaurants, wine bar and four pubs. Famous for its festivals and music. Perfect base for exploring mid wales and the welsh marches.

"great base to explore Wales"
Lovely two bedroomed cottage, in Presteign. Clean and tidy, very comfy bed, home from home feel. Great base to explore the beautiful Wales. Would stay again.
No direct parking outside of property but can park car nearby.
Thank you for your feedback. We are working on purchasing a parking space. There is unrestricted parking in the cul de sac. We are glad that you were comfy and we hope to see you again soon.

"A lovely vintage decorated cottage"
A perfectly sized, recently refurbished cottage right in the centre of presteigne. A lovely town to browse and good antique shops! The cottage really is lovely and has everything you'll need for cooking (even down to a garlic crusher), board games and books and all mod cons (big tv, iPod dock, and a very posh toaster!!!). Owner was lovely and replied to emails really quickly which made organising our trip easier. They even left us biscuits and milk and there's tea and coffee there! The only thing I would say is that the garden, although lovely isn't very private, there are a few gardens backing on to eachother and we could hear the neighbours chatting (they really weren't loud, but we assumed if we could hear them then they could hear us), but this really is minor, we had a really lovely stay! Thanks!
Thank you for your lovely feed back. We are working to make the garden surrounds more and more dense to ensure your privacy.
Hope to see you again soon.
