Farthings Hook Mill Cottage 4*
Cottage | 3 bedrooms | sleeps 8
Recently made available for holiday let for the first time, this unique self-catering cottage is secluded in the heart of rural Pembrokeshire with it's own stunning views of the countryside. Located next to the Preseli Hills, Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and nearby many of Pembrokeshire's beaches, there's plenty of tourist attractions and activities nearby including prehistoric monuments, beautiful walks, fishing, cycling, horse riding and much more.
The cottage is newly renovated, comprises of 3 bedrooms, a snug on the ground floor, 2 bathrooms and a large open plan kitchen / dining / living room area. During the renovation we ensured the cottage would have the highest standard of energy efficiency and comfort, including underfloor heating. Decorated with a clean, simple country style, this cottage also includes a fully fitted kitchen, a wood burning stove, high speed WiFi and HDTV.
There are walks from the cottage to and round the Llys-y-Fran reservoir; the nearby villages of Maenclochog and Rosebush are accessible on foot via public footpaths and you can cycle round the reservoir on your own bicycle or on one hired from the shop there. It's also worth exploring the land surrounding the cottage as it includes it's own stretch of the Afon Syfynwy (river) and remnants of an old woolen mill that operated using the stream.
The main tourist attractions nearby are the prehistoric monuments in the Preseli Hills (where the stones that formed Stonehenge were transported from) and is only a 30 minute drive away from the world famous Oakwood Theme Park. There's also many forts, castles and gardens to explore as well as Blue Lagoon Water Park and Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo.

The West Wales/Pembrokeshire region
Pembrokeshire is one of the most beautiful areas of the UK. The county is home to Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, the only coastal national park of its kind in the United Kingdom and one of three national parks in Wales.
Pembrokeshire is a maritime county, bordered by the sea on three sides, by Ceredigion to the north east and by Carmarthenshire to the east.
Over the years Pembrokeshire's beaches have been awarded 41 Blue Flag Awards and 106 Seaside Awards. In 2011 it also had 39 beaches recommended by the Marine Conservation Society.
The cottage is in the rolling hills just south of the Preselis near the friendly towns of Maenclochog and Tufton. The cottage overlooks a peaceful valley with the Afon (river) Syfynwy flowing towards the Llys-y-Fran Reservoir.
The tranquil location is perfect for exploring all the history, art, culture, wildlife and activities Pembrokeshire has to offer.
There are several rewarding walks from the cottage, including to the Llys-y-Fran reservoir restaurant (with a choice of doing the long or/and short sides of the reservoir) and Rosebush with the charming restaurants one in an old post office and the other in the old station.
