Through the French doors you have access to the small garden where you can have your outdoor drinks and dinner if you donīt want to use the roofterrace with its BBQ area. The Algarve region
Gorgeous beaches, warm water and glorious sunshine year-round: the dream holiday. The Eastern Algarve is relatively unspoilt and retains a great deal of the traditional Portuguese way of life. The area abounds in nature reserves, natural pine forests and conservation areas allowing birds & nature to flourish. North of the villa is an area of outstanding natural beauty alongside the Guadiana river, past the great dams of Beliche and Odeleite and on up to Alcoutim. Here can be found artisans still practising the ancient techniques of crafts such as blanket weaving, shawl & lace making, and straw hat & basket weaving. Nearby and to the west is the pretty town of Tavira, with its castle and a multitude of churches, now enjoying renewed prosperity from tourism and fishing. The local beaches are "to die for" and yet are so uncommercialised, apart from the welcome existence of the occasional restaurant, positioned right on the sands, serving local, freshly-caught fish and seafood.
Praia Verde area
Praia Verde is situated between Altura and Monte Gordo and is not even 10 km from the Portuguese/ Spanish border. The region offers, besides sun and beaches, more activities. Visits to Castro Marim, Tavira, Faro, Sevilla (Spain) and Vila Real de Santo Antonio.
