Home description
The apartment is luxurious and spacious with breathtaking views. There are four rooms, each can fit up to two people. The kitchen is reasonable sized, fully equipped with plates and cutlery. On the main road, very near, there is a supermarket where you can buy your food. There is also a service area behind the kitchen.
The first bedroom, which is on the second floor, has a double bed, its own television, closet and bathroom. The second and third bedroom, downstairs, share a bathroom. Finally the last bedroom has a sofa which opens to become a bed; when the sofa is closed it can be used as a television room; it also has its own toilet. All the bedrooms have bed covers.
The sitting and dining areas are very pleasant. You can also dine on the veranda with the sea in your view. The apartment is also fully air conditioned; and has good storage in the whole of the apartment.

The Northeast Brazil / Bahia region
Bali Bahia is situated in a lively little village called Praia Do Forte. On its main road there are many local shops with many gifts from clothing to paintings and many other souvenirs. The native artisans also produce many fine gifts.
Eating out is not a problem as you have a large range of restaurants, from the native food to Italian and even Japanese. If you also wish to cook back in the apartment and enjoy the exquisite view of the sea, there is a good supermarket with all the ingredients needed.
At this little village there is also Projeto Tamar which is an animal protection fund which protect marine turtles. They have a very good centre there with many turtle aquariums and other animals with a very nice shop! Instituto Baleia Juarte is another fund protecting whales and they also have a centre explaining the current situations of the whales in our world today. They also offer a trip to see the whales in the sea.
If you like history there is the 16th Century fort, Called Casa da Torre, which was one of the first forts to be built in Brazil, the building itself was finished around 1624.
Praia do Forte area
Praia do Forte is a small, picturesque fishing village. Highlights of the area include:

How to get there
Air
The International Airport of Salvador is not too far from Praia do Forte. There are frequent flights from Europe and connections to and from São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro. From the Airport you will certainly require a taxi or car rental. From most international countries you normally arrive at São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro and therefore you may need to use an internal airline. The most common airlines which fly into Brazil from London are British Airways, TAP, Tam, Air France and Iberia. The airlines which fly from New York are American Airlines, Northwest, Delta and Continental. Inside Brazil you may use to fly to Salvador Gol and Tam.
Road
From Salvador Airport you take the Estrada do Coco which is a stretch of the BA-099 with its beautiful surrounding scenery. About a third of the way you will need to pay a small toll to use the dual carriageway. Praia do forte is about 55km from the Airport of Salvador or 75km from the centre of Salvador.
Bus
Bus services are available from Salvador and the airport to Praia do Forte. The whole journey from Salvador takes about 1h04m. We advise calling the company which takes this route before traveling (contact details below).
