Mild winters and all year round sunshine make the area perfect for golfers. There are more than 20 prime Golf Courses within an hour's drive and 2 excellent courses, Parque da Floresta Golf is just 15 minutes away and BoaVista Golf is under a 5 minute drive!
The Praia da Luz / Quinta da Bela Vista area
Luz in the Western Algarve, is a unique little jewel in Portugal. It has chosen to develop its tourism with taste and class. It offers a balance of the charm and history of the Portuguese culture with a blend of creature comforts and facilities to please the desires of the most discerning tourist. The warmth of Luz and her people make it difficult to resist falling in love with this seaside town.
Luz has everything you need within walking distance. There is a lovely promenade which winds down to the beach area where water sports are available with lots of restaurants & cafes.
The lively market town of Lagos, 6 km to the east, has a traditional pedestrianised shopping area mostly within its14th Century walls. Those that enjoy night-life wont be disappointed with Lagos, there are so many restaurants and bars to choose from. A lovely palm-fringed esplanade by the waterfront is connected by a foot-bridge to the marina at the other side, from where you can take a boat trip to see the grottoes and dolphins.
Waterparks, zoos and theme parks are all within driving distance.
