Casa Papa is a three bedroom villa (one double, one twin, one single) which sleeps up to 7 (there is an additional TV room with a sofa bed) with superb views to the sea from its upper terraces.
The villa has a private pool (which can be heated at additional cost of 75 euros per week) and is less than a five minute walk to the town and beaches of Luz with its numerous restaurants, bars etc. The villa is furnished to a very high standard a true home from home as opposed to a holiday let and has lovely well maintained gardens (which are totally enclosed/secure so great for parents with children), additional terraces front and back and there is the additional benefit of a second living room/TV room with independent Sky TV in both rooms (making it ideal for parents and children wanting their own space). Unusually in Portugal, the pool can have a netting over it for parents wanting to ensure that their children do not fall into the pool accidentally.
For lets during the winter (when the sun continues to shine!), special prices are available for longer stays, the villa is warm and cosy as it has central heating, and there is a lovely wood burning stove to cuddle up in front of. Equally, to ensure maximum use of the villa facilities, the pool can be heated (at additional cost).

The Algarve / West Algarve region
The Western Algarve is the ideal location for a winter or summer stay. The coastline is dramatic, the beaches superb in terms of being clean and safe, and the area has had strict building controls to ensure that the high rise areas of the central and eastern Algarve haven't blighted the countryside or landscape here. Despite that, the towns of Lagos and Luz are lively places to be, with hundreds of restaurants, bars and clubs and with great sporting activities for both on land and water based activities. If culture is more your thing, then there are good museums, historical places of interest, concerts etc in the area. The area is well supported with good supermarkets, and in Lagos and Luz there are many interesting shops to browse around.
Praia da Luz area
Luz is a seaside resort, ideal for couples, families and singles as it has a bit of everything. it has the most fabulous beaches, which are safe and clean, and Luz has numerous restaurants and bars, both on the sea front and in the town itself. Watersports abound both in Luz and Lagos and golf is just five minutes away at Boavista championship golf course (guests at Casa Papa get an exclusive 25% discount on green fees).
How to get there
Luz is located just a 50 minute (easy motorway drive) from Faro airport. All major scheduled/cheap airlines fly to Faro from across the UK, Ireland and Europe. For visitors from the United States, Canada and other countries, Lisbon airport is just two hours away.

Further details indoors: Casa Papa is furnished as a true home from home so you will find everything that you need here for your holiday or longer stay (Casa Papa is a very good home to choose for both a summer and winter let, as it is air conditioned and has a very effective heating system for those chilly winter nights in Portugal). There are three TVs (one in the main living room, one in the master bedroom and one in the TV room/play room) all with Sky and therefore an ideal villa for families who want their own space. In its three bedrooms, the villa sleeps six as standard but additional space for larger parties can be made available as there is double sofa bed in the TV room (very popular with children to have their own bedroom with TV on holiday) and there is also the option to make the single bed in the third bedroom into a double (please see pricing notes for occupancy rates above 6 people/children in total).
Further details outdoors: Casa Papa has terraces/gardens front and back and to the side, which makes it ideal for those wanting to make the most of the sun or shade. the gardens are fully enclosed and secure which gives parents with young children additional peace of mind. Equally, the pool has a netting feature (which is unusual in Portugal) to provide extra safety around the pool area with small children.
The outdoor areas are well furnished with sun beds, dining, coffee areas and at night, the villa looks spectacular when the garden/villa lights are on. As the pool can be heated (at extra cost) Casa Papa is a great location for those wanting to lounge by the pool/relax during the day, and enjoy alfresco dining (and swimming!) in the evenings.

There is the option for a sofa bed in the second living room/play room/TV which can be used for additional guests and the single bed in the third bedroom can be made into a double. For occupancy over six people, a supplement will be charged to cover additional laundry/cleaning charges.
Conditions

Prices quoted are for five people sleeping in one double, one twin and one spacious single room. There is also a sofa bed available in the playroom/additional living/TV room which can sleep two children or 2 adults.
For each additional adult/child over five in total, there will be an additional charge of £80 pw. Payment can be made by cheque, transfer or credit/debit card (3.4% surcharge for the latter which is what the credit/debit card company charge me). Pool heating is available at 75 euros per week.
On booking, 25% deposit is required with the balance plus a £150 returnable damage deposit (£230 returnable damage deposit if more than five in total staying in the villa) being payable eight weeks before arrival. Significant discounts are available for longer lets between November and April.

Wow - we arrived at night, the villa and its gardens looked stunning, we jumped straight into the pool which was lovely and warm and then had our first evening dining on the terrace listening to the crickets. What a fabulous villa. The location is excellent (the Italian restaurant just one minute's walk away is superb) and we had a truly lovely holiday here. We didn't rent a car (the owner organised a transfer to and from the airport for us) and we had 14 days of pure relaxation and great nights out in Luz (less than five minutes' walk away). Our kids loved the pool - and the fact that they had their own playroom/TV room. Took the stress off of us, as when they got bored with the sun (you know what teenagers are like!) we could relax round the pool and they could do their own thing. As we were so near to town, and it's a well lit walk into the main town/beach, we let them go out on their own for the first time in the evenings, which meant we could enjoy our evenings as a couple and the kids thought it was great having all that independence!
