A beautiful new villa on three levels, with roof terrace, balcony off the master bedroom, a large lounge and dining area downstairs, two shower rooms and outside patio and garden with bbq and seating for six. All mod cons available (see facilities below). The villa is only a few minutes walk from Praia da Luz beach and village and a few minutes drive to the quaint village of Burgau. The restaurants of the area are top class and the beaches in the surrounding areas are spectacular.

The Algarve region
The proximity of the Mediterranean sea greatly influences the Algarvean climate. Summers are hot and dry and winters are mild with hardly any rain (50 days with rain and 500 mm on average each year), combined with very inviting springs and autumns. A pleasant sea breeze refreshes the average annual temperature of the region, which is 17,7ºC (15ºC in January and 29ºC in July and August). The Algarve can also count on around 3000 hours of Sun during the year which makes it a favourite destination for those who fancy such a delightful climate.
Praia da Luz / Montinhos da Luz area
Praia da Luz and the nearby Burgau (a few minutes drive away) are lovely unspoilt fishing villages with excellent facilities for tourists. Praia da Luz has lovely quaint cobble stoned streets meandering from the attractive beach and its romantic promenade. There is also a cinema which shows the latest films with Portuguese sub-titles and a local supermarket that sells fresh food and has a good wine selection.There are lovely cafes, restaurants and bars on the sea-front. The village's origins date back to Roman times, as a small bath complex, and several fish-salting tanks were found near the foreshore. It also boasts one of the 17th Century coastal forts, which is now a fantastic restaurant called La Forteleza. The church of Nossa Senhora da Luz (Our Lady of the Light), from which the village takes its name, was badly damaged in the Great Earthquake, and repaired by local contributions. To the east of town you find some spectacular cliffs and among them the prominent black rock Rocha Negra. This is an intrusion of lava produced from the volcanoes of Monchique some 190 million to 135 million years ago. Monchique is well worth a trip as is Sagres nearby.
How to get there
Fly to Faro, take the motorway to Lagos and follow the signs for Praia da Luz. Luz is two miles west of Lagos. The villa is fifty minutes drive from Faro airport. Cheap flights available from www.britishairways.com, www.aerlingus.com, www.ryanair.com, www.easyjet.co.uk, www.flymonarch.com and several other airlines.

The kitchen has all mod cons for your convenience. Dining area for six. The Lounge has two leather couches one of which transforms into a sofa bed. Gas fire and heaters in the bedrooms for cooler winter evenings. Extra cots and high chairs available on request.
Further details outdoors: Large well maintained gardens around the pool and villa. The pool itself is very big and has ample space for sun bathing. Praia da Luz beach is a five minute walk away. Restaurants and bars are also close by. Many activities in the area e.g. golf, theme parks, water parks, good shopping, marina in Lagos, walking in the nearby mountains, horse riding, beach hopping, surfing, wind surfing, canoeing, cycling etc.
