Estrela da Luz is set in landscaped surroundings in the heart of Luz. The luxurious accommodation is complete with private balconies and underground parking. The apartment has sea views and has access to the outdoor pools: an adults only pool, a family pool and a children's pool. The outdoor pools are surrounded by sun beds and sun umbrellas and served by the Gazebo poolside bar, providing light meals, snacks and drinks throughout the day. The complex is secure and enclosed with coded entry gates and CCTV.
The Hugo Beaty Café & Bar serves food from breakfast to light bites, daily specials and freshly prepared sandwiches. In the evening it transforms into a chic bar and with an extensive selection of wines and beers offering a great place to relax. At the rear of the bar is a games room where you can play pool, the gaming machines, cards or watch live sport. Wireless internet access for laptops is available at the Hugo Beaty bar.
Estrela Health & Beauty comprises both pampering and exercise facilities. The Techno gymnasium has been designed to accommodate the absolute beginner to the well conditioned and features a wide range of the latest equipment. The exercise studio offers daily classes and the team of trainers are on-hand to assist in training needs or you can undertake more gentle exercise in the indoor pool.
After all your hard work, relax in the jacuzzi or sauna or book yourself an Elemis Health and Beauty treatment. Spoil yourself with delights such as "Elemis Exotic Lime and Ginger Salt Glow" or "Elemis Exotic Frangipani Body Nourish Wrap", in addition to favourites such as facials, aromatherapy massages, manicures and pedicures.
The multipurpose sports area is suitable for football, volleyball and basketball and professional coaching can be booked for the tennis court. The children's playground provides a play area for young explorers and the Kids' Activities Club will keep them busy during the summer holidays. A babysitting service can also be arranged.

- Normal changeover day is Saturday but, in off season, we will try to be flexible to fit in with your needs.

The Algarve / West Algarve region

The delightful countryside is a joy to explore, so hire a car and make the most of your surroundings. The Algarve boasts over 300 sunny days a year and is renowned for its superb hospitality. Perfect for all types of holidaymaker, especially families, the Algarve is hard to beat!
Local golf courses include the prestigious Boavista, Parque da Floresta and Palmares all 18 hole championship courses.
The local town of Lagos is steeped in history and a wonderful place for cruises and watersports. Visit such wonderful places as Sagres, the most westerly point of the Algarve as well as the beautiful village of Burgeau. A trip to the mountains of Monchique is a must.

The Praia da Luz / Estrela da Luz area
Praia da Luz provides a relaxed informal holiday with a good selection of restaurants and bars and a great blue flag beach all within a few hundred metres of the apartment. For those who prefer livelier nightlife or more extensive shopping opportunities the historic town of Lagos is a 10 minute drive.
With transfer times from Faro airport of under 1 hour this is the perfect location for a break at any time of year whether it’s a family holiday, a short break with friends, a spa weekend or a golf trip (several championship courses in the area).
The village of Praia da Luz has a genuinely friendly, relaxed holiday atmosphere and offers everything from modest shopping facilities, a variety of excellent restaurants offering both Portuguese and International cuisine, bars as well as a safe, sandy beach offering a variety of water sports. The beach has its own Blue Flag as well as full time life guards on duty. Occasionally the Atlantic rollers come in and it's time to grab your surfboard and have some serious fun! The historic town of Lagos is only 6km away. Here you will find the stunning marina offering daily boat trips and diving instruction, the old town with its narrow cobbled streets with pedestrian squares offering live music and entertainment - just perfect on a summer's evening. There is a fantastic range of restaurants from traditional Portuguese to international fare as well as bars, nightclubs and a lively scene for the young at heart. Other beautiful villages and beaches include Burgau and Salema - a must to visit.

Twenty of us travelled to Praia Da Luz this April from all corners of Europe for my nieces christening party. We were travelling with my parents and two young children so the needs were slightly similar - good access and preferably quiet! Having searched the web and enquired about at least 30 apartments we chose Stephens apartment in Estrela da Luz and cripes did we pick a winner. There is no doubt we were in the most luxurious yet comfortable and child friendly accommodation of all of our extended group. The little touches such as beach towels, parasols, books and toys made a world of difference to our packing. There was sun on one of the many balconies at all times, the staff were fabulous, the bar/restaurant was great value, the resort was amazing - I have to stop gushing. This is a fabulous resort with everything one could need for a fantastic holiday, great beach, fabulous restaurants, 5 star accommodation - I hope we will be able to return in the near future (we were pretty blessed with the weather to boot!!)
