Casa Pedranjo is a newly built semi-detached property located in a traditional charming Algarvian village. The pace of life is slower and reflects the way life used to be in Portugal. This, however, does not compromise comfort as the property offers all modern day needs. Located on a quiet street, the village offers many amenities within a short stroll.
There are excellent Portuguese and International restaurants (including our own - The Grape Vine), and Indian takeaway, a sports bar and several traditional bars. The recreational park is safe and a great place for children of all ages. Espiche is just on the edge of Praia da Luz where there is a glorious sandy beach, supermarkets, banks and a vast choice of bars and restaurants.
Casa Pedranjo has an enclosed garden with an above-ground swimming pool (7.3 x 3.75 metres). It is very safe for young children. There are 2 terraces, one with BBQ and outside kitchen. The upper terrace offers panaromic views over roof tops to open countryside and the hills beyond.

The kitchen is large and well equipped. The sitting room and dining area are open plan. Large sliding glass doors lead onto the rear terrace. The shower room is located on the ground floor. Upstairs, there are 3 bedrooms - a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom and a terrace, 2 twin bedded rooms and a family bathroom.

The terrace overlooks the enclosed garden and pool. There is a table and chairs and a BBQ with sink. There is also garden furniture. The pool is an above ground pool and benefits from natural heating as the sun warms the sides of the pool.
The property has under-floor electric heating. During winter months, electricity exceeding normal consumption will be charged extra. The pool is above ground and therefore safer for young children as the steps can be removed.
The Algarve / West Algarve region
The Western Algarve offers so much in so many different ways. Although, a little further away from the airport, it is less 'touristy' with more traditional family resorts and crime is significantly less than in other parts. The climate is excellent and we are fortunate to have sunshine and blue skies most days. There are glorious sandy beaches and for children there are 3 waterparks within a half hour drive. We have an excellent zoo and there are various museums telling the stories of the Algarve's rich history. It is a paradise for walkers with an abundance of flora and fauna. And most importantly, the local food is delicious - fresh fish are plentiful and the local 'porco preto' (black pig) is mouth-watering.
The wine is not bad either!
The Praia da Luz / Espiche area
There are a choice of beautiful sandy beaches which offer water excursions, pedaloes and fishing trips. Golf courses are plentiful and Espiche has a new 18 hole course right on the doorstep. Espiche also has its own recreation park and skate board facilities.

Our nearest airport is Faro (1 hour drive) where a choice of budget airlines operate. Lisbon airport is a 2hr 30min drive. Both airports offer car hire services.

A 25% deposit will be required upon booking with the balance due 3 weeks before arrival. A deposit of 300 euros will be requested and refunded on departure.
During winter months, we have included 50 euro per week for energy. Consumption in excess of this will be charged at the standard EDP rates. A starter basket of logs is included.
