About the home

Casa Das Gemeas is located just five minutes walk from the blue flag beach and village with its excellent restaurants for eating out. The villa is situated in a quiet and peaceful area, yet only fifteen minutes by car to the larger resort of Lagos.

The villa has easy access to all amenities, including horse riding, fishing and watersports. Casa Das Gemeas benefits from its own private pool, with a shallow end for children. Leading from the dining room and lounge is a spacious balcony with sea views, furnished with a table and chairs to enable you to dine al fresco.

With one double and one twin bedroom, the villa is ideal for families, with plenty in the surrounding area to see and do during your stay.

The Algarve / West Algarve region

The Algarve is an all~year~round holiday destination because of its long hot summers, mild winters and because there is an average 3000 hours of sunshine each year.

If you have a car you can explore the stunning coastline west to Sagres and Cape Vincent and the wild Atlantic western coast with its dramatic cliffs and from Monchique to the north there are amazing views of the whole south west coastline, which makes up the Parque Natural da Costa Vicentina.

There are superb beeches and breathtaking scenery, along with excellent restaurants with reasonable prices.

The Praia da Luz / Acacias area

Luz is a large village with everything you need within walking distance. There is a lovely paved promenade which leads down to the superb beech area where watersports are available, there are restaurants and cafes and a selection of colourful clothes and jewellery stalls.

The attractive market town of Lagos, 3 miles to the east, has a charming pedestrianised shopping area mostly within its 14th Century walls, and lots of restaurants and bars with seating outside.

A lovely palm-fringed esplanade by the waterfront is connected by a foot bridge to the marina at the other side, from where you can take a boat trip to see the grottoes and go dolphin watching,

Lagos zoo is nearby, , there are two waterparks about 30 minutes drive away at Alcantariha and Lagoa. Zoomarina, near Guia is an excellent ocean theme park.

The mild winters and year round sunshine make the area perfect for golfers. There are more than 20 prime Golf courses within an hour's drive and 2 excellent courses, Parque da Floresta and Boavista Golf are just 15 minutes away.

Faro Airport is less than an hours drive from the villa, mostly on the A22 motorway.

Lisbon Airport is about 3 hour drive by car, mostly motorway.

Flying time from UK and Ireland to Faro is about 2 hours and there are regular flights and charter flights from most European airports...

“Fabulous!” Lovely villa, clean, bright and airy. Had a wonderful 2 weeks here. Great location, friendly neighbours, villa provides everything you could possibly need and owners helpful re car hire etc. Would highly recommend this villa and we will definitely be back! !
