This spacious 2 bedroom apartment is set in a small complex only 10 to 15 minutes walk from the charming Portuguese village of Praia da Luz near Lagos. It is close to all amenities, has panoramic sea views and is perfect for a relaxing holiday.
The apartment has many features (see facilities below) including on the upper floor: a modern open plan kitchen, dining area and living room which leads out on to a balcony with table and chairs.
On the lower floor is the main bedroom which leads out on to a large terrace with sun loungers/parasols for private sun bathing and barbequing, etc. The second bedroom also leads out on to a terrace and is generally cooler in summer.

The apartment has most things that you could want whilst on holiday including: Satellite TV, (free channels only) DVD player, (and an assortment of dvds for your enjoyment) radio/CD player, cards, dominoes, books, iron, board and hairdryer.

The special feature of this apartment is the amount of space outside. It has 2 balconies and a large secluded patio for either sunbathing, eating or just relaxing.
The apartment is duplex and access to both floors is by either internal and/or external staircase.

The main facilities at Vilamar including the two swimming pools and tennis court are generally available throughout the year.
Breakfasts, light snacks and bar facilities are all reasonably priced and are generally available throughout the year from April to October.
Conditions
The apartment is cleaned and managed by a local representative who can be contacted if there are any problems. The apartment is serviced, towels are changed every 3 to 4 days and bed linen is changed at the end of each week.
Heaters and blankets are provided for times of the year when the evenings get a little cool.
We try to be flexible on change over days to accommodate client's flight arrangements. We will also do our best to offer advice with flights, car rentals, taxi hire, etc.

The Algarve region has many holiday resorts and along the coast you will find fantastic beaches, warm water and glorious sunshine all year round. Temperatures average 14ºC in Winter and 24ºC in Summer, rarely going below 12ºC in Winter and reaching as high as 30ºC in July and August. Because the Algarve is on the Atlantic, the cooling breeze ensures that it never gets too hot.
Praia da Luz is set on the western Algarve - a lot quiter than the lively resorts of Albuferia and Portimao. Only 20 minutes drive inland fom Praia da Luz, you will come to the picturesque town of Silves - see photograph. There are many other small towns all waiting to be explored and some are only a 'stone's throw' away, e.g. Burgau - a small fishing village with its cobbled streets and excellent beach.
The Praia da Luz / Montinhos da Luz area
Although the Vilamar complex is quiet and relaxing, it is just 1 km away from the centre of Praia da Luz which is a beautiful, charming Portuguese village. It has several shops, cafes, excellent restaurants, well stocked supermarkets, a cinema, a bank and a safe sandy beach - the central attraction for many visitors.
Water sports are available, riding schools are close by and the Boavista golf course is some 5 minutes away.
Luz also has a Doctor and Dentist surgery.
There are numerous walks including the one from Luz to Burgau (60 minutes) with its spectacular cliff top views over the Atlantic. See the photographs.
Why not explore the historical town of Lagos and its fabulous marina - only 10 minutes drive away. FREE outdoor entertainment during the Summer months is hard to beat ! Street artists, musicians, dancers, jugglers, etc, all perform for your entertainment.
Travel half an hour up the West Coast and experience the most amazing beaches and waves - a surfer's paradise. Travel half a hour in the other direction and you will be able to enjoy all of the thrills of one of the two large Water Parks.
